What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

RDP never died in my heart.

 

Welded up a roof rack turned out pretty good

 

Put an inline radiator filter today,
Actually get to see if there’s any air in the hose too and when the thermostat opens seeing the flow.

Could help spot a head gasket leaking exhaust fumes or oil into the coolant too

 

@2Runner what was the numbers to the door window trim??? Does it come with this plastic clip?

 

This is really cool. I cant remember where I read about the Toyota coolant being affected by uv lights. But it said something along the line of having the radiator cap off and the sunlight hit it directly and after 4 hours or so the coolant changed to a foggy color. I don't know how true this is but if you keep your hood open for long in the sunlight I'm curios if it would have that effect.

 

Did you get another radiator?

 

Never heard that but either way it's under the hood and there's no sunlight under my hood

Had the one with the v in the center upper tank modified because it trapped air in that area.

It is a 340, that same physical size pump with larger fittings can be bought as a 450. This isn't the 1900s anymore, pumps are small

I mean really in this day and age, a horsepower Renaissance if you will, where people are making 1000+ horsepower as easily as they do. You gotta imagine Aeromotive, one of the biggest names in fuel systems, wouldn't produce a slouch even for their stock replacement/upgrade line. Hell, you'd need three of those piddly Walbro 190s that URD pedals to have a fuel system that had enough pressure and flow to support 550hp through a 5/16 line. Stock pumps nowadays aren't even that small anymore. Is it evident that I dislike Walbro's whiny cheapo playskool grade pumps?

I had an Aero 340 as well. That 650hp Z31 we're building has two Aero 450s. They're good little pumps. I never had KO2s with any pump other than stock. And if I could have gone back in time, I'd never have had KO2s at all.

 

They come with all new clips.. snap them out with a plastic putty knife underneath and lifting up by the rear of the cab and work your way towards the front. To put them in start from the front under the side view mirror then line em' up and snap them IN!

 

How much did they run??

 

I got mine from Camelback toyota a while ago for like $65 FWIR (both sides)

 

Think I paid about $75-80 shipped from an ebay seller.. super quick and easy install for these parts!
