Absolutely. There are none in the southeast!I I gave up looking.

I'm picking up a DCSB 4x4 TRD OR tomorrow. $43,680 Sticker and got them down to $38,800 out the door. All the goodies minus LED headlights(Leather, tech,etc.). I'll update actual selling price tomorrow after I pick it up and see the numbers. I'm thinking around 13-15% discount.

Learned a lot from this forum. This is my first post. welcome suggestions.
I contacted some dealers, below is the best offer from first round contact:
2020 TRD sport 2wd DCSB with some pkg/options MSRP: $38,391, Sales Price before $1,500 rebate: $33,000 (14% off msrp), OTD price: $33,922.
    Questions:
    1. How much more to negotate down?
    2. Should I wait best deal until Tuesday (3/31)?
    3. Any news/propect of better deal in April?
    Thanks!

It has been a great truck. But when I replaced my 2001 Subaru with a 2015 MB GLK, a summer ago, I've gotten spoiled with things like back-up camera, bluetooth, navigation, etc. And it's been 30+ years since I got rid of my 1981 Tacoma 4x4 five-speed and I want to go back to driving a manual again.

I've no room for two trucks, so when I eventually receive the 2020 Tacoma, I'll be selling the 2004 with an ARE top, tool box, & Recaro seats. And it has only 86K miles on it!

There is a much better deal to be had, IMO. You should be shooting for at least $5K off MSRP before rebate, particularly if you're shopping for a Sport vs. OR. To do this you will likely need to get multiple dealers involved but it is doable (max. discount possible will vary by region).

Not a bad price but the msrp seems high for a 2wd model. Does it have the premium package?

Doubt any, 14% off before rebate is already below invoice and aggressively priced.

Terrible advice, should be percent off MSRP, trim doesnt matter unless we are talking Pro. Should shoot for 10-12% off MSRP anything over that is a great deal.

10-12% off MSRP is a good deal, anything above that is a great deal, dont expect much or anything above 15% off MSRP (but there is always outliers and given the current situation) happy shopping!

That vehicle protection package (port installed?) I would try to get them to either take it off or as they will sometimes do "split the difference". Isnt that just sealant and some wrap or already included Toyotacare, I forget a SE region thing right?

That offer is about as good as you are going to get, in fact it looks like they are already aggressive which might mean they started out with a good month but have slowed down yet are close to a number of units sold to get a good bonus from Toyota

Convert the $5K to % below MSRP, if your prefer, doesn't really matter. Including the $1500 rebate it would be ~ 16% off MSRP. I negotiated a Sport to 16% off MSRP with a $500 rebate. Would obviously be higher w/ $1500 rebate. And trim does matter. Most dealers will negotiate a better deal on a Sport than an OR, as the OR's are more in demand, in my experience.

Bought in 4 different regions, various trims, didnt matter what trim, regions are different with what is popular or allocation, but was able to negotiate same percent off MSRP in the different regions and trim, all about invoice, pretty sure the sport and OR are similar in invoice price.

The percent will vary based on the MSRP think lower MSRP, lower invoice, less wiggle room, higher MSRP, more wiggle room, etc.

The overall percentage will as you alluded to vary based on rebate incentives. Thats why again I'll say 10-12% off MSRP prior to rebates and of course depending on rebates and MSRP of the truck you can do better like 15-17% off MSRP, just saying $5k off is misleading and not a good measurement.

Have owned 12 of these trucks, 6 new, 20 years of Tacos, recessions, booming times, etc. everyone loves that high resale and there's a reason you wont get crazy deals off Tacomas or Toyotas in general even in coronagedon.

I'm in the upper midwest and tried to negotiate on a DCSB OR 4x4 w/ premium, tech, led headlights and all weather mats. MSRP of $43,873 - $2,215 discount - $1,500 rebate = $40,158 total (8.47% off MSRP).

I started out at $37,500 with hopes to meet at around 11-12% off. The max they would budge is additional $250 off (9.04% off MSRP). I walked out. Should I keep shopping?

Late Feb, similar truck, Chicagoland region, MSRP $44.8k, $39.2k (12% off MSRP with only the $500 military rebate, took special APR instead), I'd keep shopping.
