You're the man. I appreciate the input. Do you use the titanium yourself? Also I just realized I follow you on instagram. Nice truck.

Oh hey thanks! Yes I use the titanium 140, so purely 120v. I’ve done a lot with that thing and I love it. I’d get the more powerful 170 if I owned my house and could run the proper power.

Finally getting there. Still need to decide how I want to trim the top for the vise and make it removable.

    But it's nice and solid!

Sooooo I finally bought and winch. I started test fitting it on my bumper and found that my winch plate is warped!! The winch teeter tots on two corners

on the bright side, wifey knew I had been excited for a while and told me to go buy some plate and build a new one

I’m excited to rebuild! This one should be even better. :fingerscrossed:

Just shim the wobbly side with some washers. It won't matter at all to the functionality of the winch.

    shiet that would be simple

I was to believe the winch housings can crack if the winch plate flexes too much.

Yep, the winch won't mind. Snug down 3 corners , then see what you need to fill the gap in the 4th. Easy, peasy.

Cut me some slack. The wife already says I do everything the hard way.

Just enough to look kinda cool.
I say bolt the winch on and give it a good pull, it will take the warp right out. Or you can stack up washers its not guna hurt the winch I have about half an inch of washers stacked up to make room for the fairlead.

Old enough to break the shovel old enough to fix the shovel!!

A young man needs to buy his own shovel at some point.

is it possible to reinforce with a piece inside the handle as the area that keeps failing looks to be getting old and brittle

He would buy another one if we’d let him, lol. He just turned 8. Problem is where they are made. It definitely needs a reinforcement inside the handle, may see if we have some 1/8” wall tubing Monday at the shop and just replace the handle.

They did get some use out of it Thursday, him and baby girl helped me bury the dog
