I had some video on my phone going up Angeles crest. Can’t upload here though since the file is too large and I don’t feel like learning how to compress a file on my phone. So you’ll just have to take my word for it.

What better way to spend quarantine? Delete the abs and install a Brembo RCS master. Can’t forget the clutch lever either.

    Still thinking about it.
Are there any Honda XR riders in here? I have a '95 250L that spent the winter with my son getting a major overhaul. Later model CR250 fork/brake, new tank, plastics, handlebar/controls, etc.. We are in Alaska so the riding opportunities are a bit different but I look forward to checking out his work soon!! He will be riding a much newer KTM 2-stroke so we should be quite the mismatched pair lol.

    Yep.

    FZ/MT

I have the MT, which I'm told is almost exactly the same bike.
Looked at Ducati's, but I also looked at their price tag, and maintenance costs, and opted for the Yamahammer. Besides, I didn't plan to keep it for more than a year. Used it for commuting. Then retired from work, but still have the bike. Turned out I liked it more than I thought I would. I still have a lot to learn about riding. My first bike was a 2008 BMW X/Country.

big honda xr fan here, currently building an xr50 that I update here periodically
will be in the market for an xr650l again soon after paying the off the note on my cbr in the next few months

it has become very popular to upgrade 4 stroke trail bikes with 2 stroke race bike components

share some pics after you get it back from your son, that sounds like its gonna be a fun one!!!

not a trials bike, just an electric dirt bike / trail bike

I think electric bikes are using larger rear sprockets to help get them up and moving with less drain on the battery storage

this is an electric trial bike

and this is a gas trial bike

Keep looking on Craigslist for bike prices to drop for possibly flipping them in the summer but prices are still “normal”.

I have noticed some pricing come down, but also still flooded with the scammers and extortion price tags

I have not flipped a bike in the last couple years but I still search religiously

I believe all this virus economy stuff is slowly but surely popping the used toy market for better or worse

I have not contact the seller, really I am not in love with it though so I told myself I would only reach out if they lowered it below the 2k mark with plans of offering well less than a $1,999 price tag

given the year mileage dirty plastics and chewed up grip for this one specifically given the economy right now I have an aggressive $1500 offer in mind but maybe $1800 would be a purchase number for me as well, at 1900 honestly I would be on the fence though for this one specifically.

I still think this current economic situation will keep the squeeze tight for a good bit longer, I would not be surprised if in a week or so this one as well as other will be lowering asking prices

I figure for 3300 I get a brand new zero miles machine, and for around 3k I can get a used low miles clean and lightly modded example, so I have to keep that in mind because I know how so many people simply do not maintain these things either

:fistbump:You get the market. Looking at other ones in Long Island is absurd how much people want for them!
