This is all hard to swallow. I've spent more adding to my truck the last 3 years than 20 years combined. I've done it all budget or secondhand, so that helps. It make me sick to think I have a hell of a good down payment bolted on, but it is also the first time I have been happy with one of my vehicles, and the first to make it past 4 years of ownership. Eventually someone will get out of the game and I'll snag their shit up. It's been working so far.

Im very surprised on the $ amount that ive added, and the fact that i kept it for more than 4 years also.

I tend to keep vehicles for a year-2 max.

Yeah I'm pretty frugal, so dumping thousands of dollars a year has been hard for me to even wrap my mind around. It is also dangerous as once you start it becomes easier and easier. I usually get bored with vehicles and look for something else after a couple years as well. Maybe making this one mine was the difference.

Mike has built himself a very capable rig on a very modest budget. No doubt he would wheel circles around you and your $2k lower control arms.

Your jump picture is cute though.

It's pretty lame that there's a pissing match over this. People buy what they want and companies make products that sell. End of story. No need to shit on people that buy certain things or bash others that find them unnecessary. In reality, we all buy a bunch of unless shit. We don't need these trucks, we don't need any of the mods. They are all unnecessary....all of them. Let's move on.

I couldn’t care less about those or any other LCAs.

Don’t tell a guy like mike “You gotta pay to play” That’s just idiotic.

Guy built a truck that can drive across the Country, wheel hard, and drive home. Doing it on a budget, carefully planning out his mods and the direction to go with the build.

“Gotta pay to play” shut up.

I agree. Too many long bed caps. I just want a cheap (even shitty) DCU style aluminum short bed cap. :annoyed:
