@upTOPoverland, I should be getting my rack in the mail in the next 2 weeks or so I ordered the Uptop AAP. This rack comes with mounting hardware correct? it says it does I'm just making sure I have everything to do the install. Spacers are included yes?

Tacomaworld discount code? Damn 1300 bucks for a roof rack......seems very high.

I was looking at the Prinsu and Victory racks when I found the Alpha. I really wanted it, but the price tag was concerning, and I couldn't swing the cash at the time. Still, I wasn't sold on either of the other racks, so after talking to my wife about it, she said just wait and get the one you really want. So that's what I did, and hopefully I'll have it put together and installed this weekend.

Mine's all assembled and wired, just waiting for a buddy to help me lift it on the truck to mark the holes to drill (access cab). Hopefully tomorrow. Can't wait!

Make sure you seal up the other hole on the ThinFin if you haven’t already.

I hear you for sure i just can't justify spending exorbitant amounts of money on toys and optional accessories that are overpriced for what they really are. The racks are like 20% more now than 6 months ago. No group discounts nothing. Maybe when the economy tanks completely here in a month I'll reconsider.

I’m not really sure why you feel this is over priced.

I have both the alpha and ex fully loaded. Let me tell you it’s 100% worth it. Here are some reasons:

the quality is top notch. Every little part was designed and manufactured with thought and purpose

Customer service is unparalleled. The guys at UpTop really care. They were with me every step of the way. I have never gotten such good support from anywhere else.

it works. Everything just goes together and works really well. There was no jimmy rigging or fudging needed to get everything together. Even the color code stickers to help with instal.

super easy to remove and replace. With a towel and some slow movements I removed my EX fully assembled by my self to fix a leak in my snug top.

the lighting options and the way the wiring was thought trough is great. Again lending a hand to removal everything can be disconnected with out cutting or uninstalling any of the harness.

The most underrated part of these are the handles. I thought I wouldn’t use them... I was wrong. They come in handy in more ways than you could think especially when it comes to washing a lifted truck.

    sunroof compatible

mounting new brackets with the twist in T nut is a snap and makes life really easy for switching load outs between snowboarding, off roading, hunting, you name it. Also the way the tracks and T nuts are you can mount just about anything.

the cut out grooves on the top work great for ratchet straps.

    the wind noise is low

it’s super close to the roof giving more clearance for stuff UpTop

I could go on forever bro (Especially since I’m stuck in lock down) but I’m going to stop since I think that’s more than enough proof.

good luck finding all that in another rack.

if you are going for the best and something that will fit all your needs this is the place.

If you are looking to be cost effective want a rack just to have or because you like the look of one. Move on this is not the rack for you.

    TL;DR:
    Functionality 10/10
    Design 10/10
Easy of instal and removal 10/10
    Bracket choices 10/10
    Lighting choices 10/10
