What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

They’re perfect! This time I just held each piece and painted it then hung it on the can. I’ve done the string thing before though

 

I thought red was a requirement.

 

With a camper coming in this fall, decided to put the sway bar back on. Decided on some Mevotech Links. Better than OEM it seems... Added some quality grease and installed the zerks. Pain in the ass getting it back in but fun again around corners.

 

If I had it I woulda! I didn’t even have primer. Figured anything is better than the crusty mess that was on there.

 

Got bored at home so did some cleaning.

Was gonna change my rear brake shoes, but the ones on there had plenty of pad left. Cleaned out all the brake dust. Thought I was hearing some squealing, though...
So, f that and went to have lunch on the lake with my wife.

 

I finished trimming out the interior for the extra sticks



Cut out the rest of the console, added a couple more switches, a BlueSea charger, and installed the rock lights I'd been putting off for the past year





Pulled the 4wd knob and added a temp gauge


And cleaned the carpet and seats again

 

What products did you use?

 

Added a 2TPAM from Expedition Essentials to go along with the Tech Deck.

 

After yard work all day I did a quick wash on Taco to knock dust and pollen off.

Used the WD40 Corrosion Inhibitor.

Installed the 2nd gen “TRD Pro“ grill.. slowly, but surely getting rid of the chrome. Might have to paint match this. Maybe the matte will grow on me, not sure yet. Not sure about coloring letters yet either. Here’s a before and after

 

What are these snaps for on the outside of the rear seats? OEM mats? Didn’t see anything in the manual.

 

Got a lot of work done today.

Installed the 2015 TRD wheels along with 265/75/16 BFG KO2s. Fits perfectly. I also got the 2nd gen 2015 pro smoked headlights installed as well. Really happy with how everything looks.

 

finally was able to mount my light bar behind the grill after having to move it cause of the winch.(fucking pollen)

Yep the OEM mats snap in to hold them in place.

 

Installed hood struts from Redline Tuning. These are amazing!
