Complete death curl with its legs curled up underneath.

    :pout:

I guess I should've seen the first sign when I got it; it was on the floor substrate and an arboreal like this is never on the ground unless something is up.

The species behavior can be weird at times depending on the individual T. Main thing to look out for is if they sit or move in weird positions or appear sluggish in general.

On another note, this thing is completely intact -

I see a goliath in your future. It was one of my favorites when I kept Ts.

Pretty good specimen. My T's always like to chew on their molts after.

Did you ever experience the urticating hairs? I'm wondering how nasty they are.

Here and there from various Ts. I recall them just being a slight irritation and not feeling good, but not painful. They never ended up in my nose, eyes, or mouth, which I believe from evolutionary defense standpoint, that is where they are effective against their predators.

I washed my hands with that orange container powder soap stuff which provided enough surface area and friction for removal, versus liquid soap.

I will definitely want one; since I have an empty enclosure I've been messing around with substate, damp towel, and humidity control. Saw how humid it was and how the temps held a tad bit better vs immediately outside the enclosure.

Not to mention I still need to modify it. Learning as I go.

I'll definitely give it about a year or so as I enjoy my 2 that I have now.

Yeah I always remember you saying that.

Thought you'd like to see one intact...especially since it's so small

I meant specifically the hairs from the Goliath Bird-Eater. Those are supposed to be the nastiest of all the tarantula species.

Not that I remember specifically for that species from working with them at my old job. We mostly sold youngsters.

I use to hold mine alot and it was tame. I raised it from a sling.

Not in my experience. The hairs were just an annoyance on the pain scale. Again, not in my face though.

How many roaches do you have in stock? Dubias or another species?
