Just got a 2011 4x4 regular cab Tacoma. I would like to retrofit an overhead console. Has anyone done this mod? Thanks

Haven't done it myself as the cost is still too high for whatever value I get, but note a couple of things:

o you'll need an 09+ console to work with your 11
o consoles only came in the grey color as that is the only TRD interior color. If your have the tan/taupe interior, no factory match, you'll need to paint it.

I have a 2011 double cab and am waiting for a friend that works for a west coast dismantler to call me letting me know that the 2010 4Runner overhead console I want is on the way as I plan to modify it and then retrofit into my truck. If it works I'll have my Tacoma overhead console available and I'm in Illinois (Scott AFB) as well. Of course if it works, you might want to follow the same route I did.

Not too worried about that since there are many other ways to achieve that with one being when I attempt to replace the sunglass holder in the 4Runner console with my Tacoma's temp/dir pod. If all works well the S.O.S. button will be re-tasked into a winch power button. But in the end, it all relies on fit which may be a problem since I'm the one who did the measuring of the two consoles...

Do agree with zx5go however, would like to have a few more details displayed like the F-350 I had did. I'm not done digging through the Toyota electronic parts catalog yet so who knows.

And with that said, I'll hopefully get this thread switched back onto the original track. I hope you get it sorted out Head Trauma, and I hope you really enjoy it.
