    I know you can’t use white led bar on public roads but could you use the ambers for turn signals?

    You would have to check your local rules. Here they are still considered an auxiliary light and not for on road use regardless of the intended purpose. They would need to be covered on road. Also aren't they a lot overkill for a turn signal? Are you trying to signal air strikes or aliens?

    Since you want to be legal, I'm pretty sure any light needs a DOT approval.

    Manual Mall Crawler
    Only needs to be DOT for on road use if it is legal for on road ( for example fog lamps ). Off road it doesn't have to conform to any restrictions or regulations.

    I saw a tundra with a white and amber led bar in the hood scoop and he only had the amber part on while driving past me.
