Some of the grocery stores here had a ton of it. Wal Mart and the likes are out.

Filet, shrimp, riced cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and asparagus. Kind of a hodgepodge, but turned out great!

Got a pork butt to put on the smoker and guess I better get going on it unless I want to be up all night. But it is raining. And snowing. And windy. I don't feel like it LOL. Time to start cutting up garlic and digging out the black pepper.

Had HyVee do a delivery for the first time last week. Half the items were unavailable and the other half were substitutes. Next week going to have to make a trip into town but not looking forward to it 40 positive cases now. HyVee is supposed to only be age 60+ for the first hour and Costco first hour on Tuesday and Thursdays. Never taken advantage of my age in my life but thinking the time may have finally come to do so...

I put whole cloves of garlic in mine.. I put the whole bulb in a Tupperware bowl and shake the shit out of it and they basically peel themselves.. wish I had learned that trick 20 years ago! Good luck on your adventure! At this point I think we have to take all the advantages that we can.

Burgers last night. I put carmelized onions under the cheese. Didn't have hamburger buns so I made pretzel buns. They turned out great.

I’d like to try this, meat is perfect medium rare. How long and what temps you had this on?

Got a rack of St Louis cut ribs on the Pit Boss for dinner today. I’m usually a baby back person, but this is all the store had and in this crazy time I’ll take what I can get.

I just looked up the price of ribs at my local store. $14/rack. F that.

Dang. Got two racks for that or maybe a little less. They were still frozen off the truck and they were the only meat the store had besides turkey necks and chicken feet.

Smoked at 225 degrees until internal temp is around 120. Then direct sear both sides until internal temp is 130-135. Wrap in foil with some garlic butter on top. Let it rest for 5-10 min. Slice against the grain. Enjoy !
