If you really want that much lift and want to have good CV angles I'm afraid your best option would be a drop bracket lift. I cannot recommend this though.

Are those the stock coils? If so, then removing the spacers might drop it 1-1/2 to 2" which will have a lot of rake to it. You might need to lower the shocks instead and leave the spacer or get coils to lift it. I don't think stock coils on Bilsteins will get much lift on a DC. Post up what the parts are currently (looks like a 1" spacer).

If they installed the parts which are wrong, they shouldn't charge you to fix it (remove spacer or adjust shocks).

If you want ~3 inches of lift in the front on 5100s, you should remove those spacers (which don’t look like top plate spacers since they’re below the top hat) and swap the springs. There are a handful of different springs than can get you close to 3” on the bottom notch of the 5100.

I’m currently sitting on 5100s with OME 885 springs (1/2” top plate spacer on drivers side and 1/4” on the passenger side) and got almost exactly 3” of lift. I have aftermarket UCAs so I don’t have rubbing problems on the spring but my CV angles aren’t nearly as bad as yours.

What even is a drop bracket lift?

Yes it’s a 1” spacer at the top. My best route would be to drop the shocks in the front a couple notches and keep the spacer then?

No... your best option would be to ditch the spacers and change the springs. Then make sure they’re installed on the bottom notch of the 5100s. You can keep a small top plate spacer on both sides if you want but using the springs alone for the lift would be ideal.

I agree with you needing a drop bracket with that much lift. Looks great, but your CV axels won't be around for long.
Here's the difference (copied off google search, sorry if this is someone's truck)
Drop bracket decreases the angle of your CV's to avoid abnormal wear. see how straight the CV's look. this requires hacking into the frame and its not reversible for the most part. Lots of guys off road with this, but you need to have some one with experience installing. requires more maintenance.

Here's a coilover without drop bracket:

Not that I have anything against those folks that got drop brackets, I'm sure there are lots of great set ups out there, but personally I went with coilovers and never looked back

What exactly did you ask them to do? Seems really odd that they would add additional components (spacer) to the lift if you didn’t ask them to do that.

I just said do the rear as they would which was AAL & 5100 rear shocks. Then in the front I told them to put the shock on the highest setting and that’s it. Then they added the top plate spacer to it. Noticed it when I got home

Not the greatest pic with the uneven driveway and sun in my face but here are my CV angles right now with ~3” of lift...

Since they will need to disassemble the shocks/coils to get the spacer out and lower the shocks, you may want to get springs first and then have all the work done. But you don't want to drive the truck much the way it is right now. If it still sits a little low after that, you could add some small 1/4" or 1/2" spacers above the tophat to get some extra lift. My truck was around 4" when I first got it and I removed the 1/2" spacers to get it back down closer to 3".

Which springs are recommended with Bilstein 5100’s? I’ve heard lots of good things about OME’s but there’s just various options when it comes to those

OP, this should be the route you should go. I did Bilstein 5100s set at 0, bottom notch, w/ OME 885x Springs for 3 years and loved this set up. Got 2.5 inches of lift before the spacers. Ran it for 3 years. I did need aftermarket UCA's to keep my alignment right, and Swaybar spacers to keep the Swaybar.

Yes, you should keep your Swaybar.

I have the same setup but with the eibach coils. These are my cv angles right after the lift install. No diff drop or sway bar spacers
