this help thermal insulation too? I’m planning to basically rip out the back seat and set up a dog crate behind the passenger seat in the 60%. Want a crate I can easily pull out and strap in the bed the next time she rolls in horse shit.

anyone else watching this tiger thing???

Typically dyna-mat add sound control through mass, making the sheet metal more dense, and less likely to resonate.
Only insulation it would provide, would be through thermal mass, but, it would work both ways.... i.e. not a good termal insulator. Need more air pockets to insulate.

On the tiger thing, no... but, my sister went on a littler rant last night about it... apparently its stupid at best....

There are some foams that help better with the insulation. Ensolite is a nice one, and I've used it. I used the cheaper noico peel and stick red stuff on my current truck and it has made a pretty big difference with how fast it heats up, and once it's hot I turn the heat off and don't need it really because it stays warm for quite a while. I have it everywhere but my roof though.

This is what I most recently used:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TKXMPH7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    This is the ensolite:

My wife is. I watched 2 or 3 episodes with her and couldn’t take it anymore. Too much drama for me and I couldn’t stand listening to either side anymore, they all have some serious loose screws.

You wouldn't be disappointed. Trust me it's worth it!

Yes just like @Bridge4 pointed out it's the foam that gives it a thermal resistance. I had asked the owner of Rammat about it because after installing all my skids (plus having no rug in my truck) my feet were burning up. He told me that I could do 2 or 3 layers of both tile and foam (on the floor) to really help insulate it. I did not do that though, I just did the one layer and it helped a lot! Both on sound and heat.

BTW guys there are quite a few brands that make those 2 products all in one now a days. It's more expensive and wouldn't have worked for my back wall but it would have been nice everywhere else.

I did that a while ago. In my truck with no carpet and my MT's on you would really need to talk loudly to have a conversation! Afterwards it really is much quieter with it all done

I thought so, but wasn't a100%. I've been thinking about this after doing some side by side comparison with my girlfriend's Lexus. The Lexus is definitely quieter but trying to think of a way to make it a little better. I was think of starting with the doors and go from there.

Thanks, didn't know if it would be worth it for thermal too. I'm not bothered by the road noise yet. But my truck is like 4 months old.

    Sweet deal thanks

I can't watch it sober. I need at least 2 beers before I can handle it. I don't know that I'll last all the episodes, so far we're down two and there are 5 left.

I started it and genuinely for the first 20 minutes didn't know it was real or a parody like borat.

Then I knew after the first episode its also gay meth country singers with music videos. Okay, cool.

Episode two takes off though, polygamy, cults, the whole bit. It's freaking insane.

Just remember that the foam is only 1/2 of the equation. You need to kill the resonance of the panels shaking 1st and then foam to quite down the ambient noises.

You really should. It sounds funny but it makes it a real luxury not to have to scream to talk to each other while driving.

Some brands of sound deadening with the foam already on it.

    Roadkill

    https://stingerelectronics.com/coll...-roadkill/products/roadkill-ultimate-bulk-kit

    Soundskins Pro

    https://soundskinsglobal.com/pages/soundskins-pro

And the best deal of the all in ones that I know of

    NVX's

    https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_177601_NVX-SDRF40-Tri-layer-Bulk-Pack.html

I myself would continue to use RAAMat's products as this one kit can pretty much do the whole car and I can use it as I need. The other products you probably need 2 kits

    RAAMat

Doorman sells all those. You can usually find them at Autozone or Advanced Auto. You can also buy them separately at your dealership

In the not too, too distant future I'm hoping I can go down the stereo rode again. As I know I've mentioned on here I've got the Kicker CS front and rear with the Subaru tweeters and then an Alpine powered sub. I've got the midrange and the volume, but I'm missing the "thump".

Kicker makes what appears to be a decent 5 channel amp with the dedicated sub channel that I'll probably grab and get another 10" sub. I had a pair of Polk subs in my Accord and then my Subaru that hit super clean that I loved, so I'll see if I can get whatever the modern equivalent of those and run with it. I haven't got the gears going too much yet, but that along with some sound deadening is on the list.

I'm saving for the 2020 OEM LED headlights first.
