You can't argue with my pic though. 3 coats of it, let dry for xxx days, and it just scratches with a fingernail. Unacceptable.

I sprayed my Dominator D2 steps with U-Pol Raptor. Set was $120 or so shipped from Amazon. Spraying went well and I had no issues other than ruining my lenses on my prescription glasses with overspray.

Anyways, it's been off-gassing for 3 days now....with this torrential downpour we had today I'll just wait to install them tomorrow. Did all the brackets and used coat hangers to hold the pieces. Worked really well.

There's absolutely no comparison between this and the harborfreight stuff. The harbofreight stuff was soft, easily scratchable with mild pressure from a fingernail, and went on very thin like paint. The U-pol Rator is nice and thick, went on evenly, and I also used the free bag of traction additive (read bag o' sand) for the last coat.

I used my 7 gallon 135 psi Craftsman compressor. I set it to about 60 psi because I didn't want the super grainy look. It still came out rather grainy but I find it acceptable. Also, the instructions said to let it off-gas for 72 hours with no contact with water...so they've been sitting in the garage still hanging on that HarborFreight stand for 3 days now.

The finish is super hard, nice and even, and I have no doubt that these side steps will last the life of the car, instead of rusting to poop within a year.

Next up I'm going to spray my RadioFlyer wagon as well. I used only 2 liters of the 4 that came with the kit so I will most likely need to find something else to spray as 1L should be way more than enough for the wagon.

Those sliders look nice. I just had my hood and roof sprayed (prior owner had done the rest, minus camper) at the LineX shop. $500, but $100 of that was how expensive the Toyota Inferno Orange toner is! The guy said its normally $17-19 sqft0323201224~2.jpg

On a tangential note, why does this site only allow you to upload one pic at a time? Super big waste of time waduheck.

First off, welcome! 2nd off, is your truck a real TRD Pro? If so you absolutely have one of the rarest trucks on this site. I don't remember off hand but I believe they only made like 15 inferno orange TRD Pro access cabs with the 6-speed!!!

Thanks 74cam - I've lurked on the site for various info for years, and finally decided to join. Yes it is an actual Pro, and I'm bummed both manual trans and 6' beds are getting harder to come by from Toyota. Used to be their thing. Christian - it'd be cool to see pics, i bet it looks sharp with mica flecks in it!

Very cool. How long have you owned it now?
I've got the 6-speed as well but wasn't lucky enough to find an inferno Pro.

You have a supercharger, of which i am very envious. I've had her for great 3 years.

Hm. My truck is black so not sure if I wanna go that far but maybe the bumpers.

Here are a few pics of the truck atm. I really dig the Micky Thompson Classic III wheels but I'd really prefer them in silver instead of polished chrome. I don't like chrome bits too much and really love that the front of the truck is pretty blacked out stock. Front frontal pic shows the CougarMotor LED bulbs vs the stock bulbs.
