Does anyone have one of those natural gas/propane combo grills? Looking for some feedback on how practical it is to have a natural gas line permanently hooked up to a grill.

Well, there's gas logs in the fireplace and a hole at the back side of the house where it looks like a gas line used to be run. When I had a chimney sweep come out the inspect the fireplace he said pretty much the same thing you just did about being able to cook or have a hot shower anytime. I've been looking at the combo grills on Lowe's website, and they're really not that much more expensive than a regular propane grill.

I love my charcoal smoker and grill, but damn if sometimes I just want to go out and cook the food and not spend 30 minutes or more prepping everything.

So I just found my local gas provider and holeee crap. I may be re-thinking this idea. Some of the worst reviews for a service provider ever.

I have my grill headlined to my NG that my house has. Absolutely love the convenience!

And never having to refill propane tanks is also very nice.

Well just made a yard debris pile that's starting to rival the one I made after the last hurricane... Damn 24ft ladder gets heavy after a while... I hate palm trees.

I've also been looking at a gas grill to hook to our propane tank for the house. Do the Weber's last very long outdoors?

My WSM has stayed outside its entire life, 4 years now, I think? It shows no signs of wear at all. For the first couple of years it was under a carport and uncovered, but since we've been in this house it has stayed in the open, but with a cover.

We always had gas in Michigan. I do miss the instant on and hot for cooking, and I know my wife would love to have it again since she grew up with it.

I keep mine under a cover and it's been outside for two years. Still looks new.

Fuck propane prices too. I have a 500gal underground tank, and it costs me a lot of money every year. Mine runs the stove, water heater, and furnace.

    NG is where it’s at.

Back home we hit gas before water. About 60ft. Some Folks with gas water heaters would leave home for a long weekend & if they had basements with foundation cracks, they’d be comin’ home to splinters. :boom:

Most decent grills since around 2010 can be bought with the ng connections or can be converted with a kit. I believe the kit was like $60 back in 2010 when I purchased a grill from lowes.

Also, this brisket was dry as fuck. I'm pretty sure I could use it for a towel at this point
