Weighs in at 17.4 oz. It’s got some heft. Could probably carry it for self defense.

I just had an idea. Rivet a couple little earth magnets on, then stick it on a friends bumper. Yeah this is happening.

After 15 years the owner says invoices are not being paid up and shuts the doors .

Till I hope things get better

Even After getting told we are a critical support vendor to DOD contractors

    Going to be interesting

Do you have any friends good with the torch??

To give you some hands on help .

like welding once you understand what your looking at and can make it happen on a constant basis that slag will go away

No, I’m the only one around here with one. This is only my second time messing with it, and the first time was horrendous so I’m starting to get better. That said, I’m really going to be using this torch for destruction such as cutting off stock shock mounts, leaf springs hangers, etc so precision isn’t super crucial. I thought I’d get some more seat time though on some scrap metal so it doesn’t intimidate me as much. I found ear plugs help a lot too, similar to welding, to let me focus more on what I’m doing.

Used an extra pistol magnet I had laying around. It’s perfect, and rubber coated too so it won’t scratch anything. I did however forget to take into account the extra weight if the, um, balls. So if it has a weak connection it rotates, but on some real steel like a plate bumper it won’t budge.

Tie a white ribbon around it so it waves in the wind and looks like it’s peeing.

Ok, after 20 years of thinking about it... it's real.

    Finished up the legs...

Then dragged the top in out of the rain to use it to finishing welding up the base using.... 4 jack stands, two jacks... what could go wrong? (I did drop it once. Holy shit, one of the stupider moments in my shop, ever)

Then, seeing as how I had learned my lesson with the near foot amputation, decided to go for it! "Hold my beer."

All i have to do is stitch weld the shelf in. And it's DONE. Well, except for teh various little things i'll no-doubt weld on to it like a bar for hanging clamps, maybe some drawer slides for the vice.... etc... I am pretty stoked. I've always wanted a nicee table and this height worked out great - i can sit at it on a stool for small stuff, sit on it if i have to reach something in the middle, and for stuff up to 2' tall, i can weld it standing.

Just ordered a 210 MVP! I'm excited but not thrilled about money spending part... hopefully it'll be worth having over a smaller unit. Pretty new to welding, so hoping its forgiving enough also but good enough to grow into. Didnt wanna spend 4 or 500 on a 140 just to come up short eventually. Figure this is a good bridge between big and small.
