There's no question Tacoma is the best midsize/compact truck. We all know it and that's why we're here on this forum.

I will say that, even though I'll never buy another Nissan, the Frontier Pro4X is rather intriguing.

What is this, a spelling bee?

    You only caught my correction?

He corrected the spelling of the previous so I just returned the favor. That's why they have the "preview post". Post, read, reread and then submit. Easy Cheesy!!! I know you've read the post that takes up one complete page of the thread and not one period or comma. It's like they are typing up a hostage note. Not perfect but it does help get your question or concern across without others hitting the "?" key.

Myself I wouldn't say that the Tacoma is "the best" mid-size truck. I have an 05 Nismo Frontier 6 speed now and 3 of my friends have 05+ Tacoma's and they both have there pro's and con's just like everything else out there. I'm 99% sure my next truck will be a Tacoma double cab long bed with the Sport package but, I will indeed miss a few things about my Frontier.

I actually considered a Canyon and the larger GM trucks (I had a GM credit card that accumulated a credit toward the purchase of a GM vehicle). I could have had $1500 off the price but after reading the reviews and the problems, I passed. So perhaps it's a lack of research.

well Nissan Frontier 09 is not calling it Nismo, but ProX4. Same deal except a name change. I guess Nismo is going for sports car!

Mine don't expire that I know of (I've had the account for a long time). With the economy the way it is, who can tell (it may force some people to buy). Within the last 5 years, GM did impose limits. It used to be you could use all of it ($5000) toward a vehicle. Then they changed it so that it depended on the model (e.g. $1500 for a Colorado/Canyon). The highest one now ($3000) is for a Savana van. :puke:

A freind told me today "I see more and more Tacoma's", then he said "you should have got a DC". If they buy back mine I just might. I see some unoin company's and workers in them, that says a lot. Most of them on IL. 294 it's under construction.

Ya, I know that. My next truck needs to be a crew cab long bed and I just don't care for what Nissan has to offer in that configuration.

I would like to see rear disc brakes on the Tacoma and some better numbers from the motor. The Frontier just feels more responsive and has awesome torque. Redline on the Taco is 5500 and 6500 on the Frontier also. Either way, i'm not out to prove anything. Just doing some research on them.

My parents never owned a Toyota vehicle. They are Chevy-driving kind of folks. I wanted to go a different direction and told them I was going to go with the Tacoma, because of it size and MPG. I've made the right choice!

yeah read disc would be da bomb!! If my truck comes with rear disc... then I'm all set, the drum works fine. Inexpensive to fix. I added the price on the Pro-4x... pretty much as the same option as trd-off rd, it would go up to $32500... wow
