    Washed, clay barred, and put first ceramic coat on. I’m doing a 2nd coat of ceramic tomorrow, so I kept the truck in the garage and didn’t get better pics. I’m so impressed with the outcome and shine!

    Today was the first time I’ve ever clay barred and ceramic waxed anything. The way the truck looks and feels like glass is amazing! My wife was asking me when I’m gonna do all of it to her Sequoia. Lol

    Got a steal of a deal on a TRD CAI. It was an open box deal from my local dealer, and for the price, I couldn't pass it up.

    I found, in addition to other "stuff" in the way that was moved previously, the A/C lines are routed differently on 2012+ 2nd gens.

    So, I cut a big gaping hole in the lower airbox for clearance, then cut out a cardboard template to cover the hole. My original plan was to form some Kydex, patch the hole with it and plastic weld it to the ABS box but I realized, after trying trying and failing on some scraps (then confirming on an internet search), that Kydex doesn't like to be plastic welded. So instead, I used the template to overlay on some thin gauge stainless steel sheet I had in the shop. After some trimming and forming with a ball peen hammer, it fit perfectly. Couple rivets, some RTV and heat shield mat and the CAI bolted up perfectly.
