Daggom Fire department responding to a complaint 3 hours after I started burning to tell me I can’t because 100’ distance from a house was not reached, my own house dammit. Well over 100’ from anyone else’s though. There’s no way for me to triangulate where 100’ from all three houses in my backyard is unless my neighbors would let me take measurement.... hmm, wonder what neighbor it was who called.

Hoover rolled up in an actual fire truck not the SUV, the big son of a beep.

btw I started burning at 12:30 FD arrived on scene at 3:30. Fire was almost out. I was courteous and even joked with the guy a bit.

so anyways where I’m cutting underbrush I guess it’s closer for me to drag it in the culdesac than in my backyard anyhow.

I didn’t call them out, they didn’t do anything, the complainer who called it in can pay is what I’ll tell them if they send a bill.

I’ve been working a lot lately, working remotely at home, fixing up house and garage, fixing people’s garage doors, etc. fun times.

Most of the differences for failure on the air system is going to be external of the differential which makes for easy fixes if something happens. I just remembered for you they would probably both end up costing about the same for me it was more cost effective to do the ARBs by a pretty substantial amount. The e-locker is simpler unless it's a factory turd gen rear elocker :boink:(sorry had to put that dig in there).

Here are some good breakdowns of the 2 different systems. As you can see both are mechanically very similar on the internals as far as the springs and such that could possibly break. Key difference is the Harrup unlocks then relocks at the change of direction forward to reverse and visa versa. Now some will argue that this is detrimental to offroading etc. I call bunk on that it happens so rapidly I don't think anyone would notice. Only issue I could see is possibly torque loading it and maybe having a failure a big maybe there though. I couldn't find a good video for ARB. The electromagnet locking system is similar to your factory set-up just without all the excess BS having to go through all the computer stuff.

On the Toyota factory Elocker, You don't have to use any of the computer controls if you install it yourself. They wire it that way to control how and when you use it. Mine is not hook to any computer controls.
