I have one daughter in college and one daughter about to go away to college. As of now I have enough $$ for winch line and eventually the actual winch after I buy the line....or I could win the entire winch at once.20190720_174714.jpg

I just got hired as an elevator operator, and I believe I already broke the elevator. I can’t afford to lose another job.

I work in a nursing home and the elderly are at a high risk nowadays. Every day is tough to get to work. I'm a fat a$$, so staying in bed is very much like my taco being stuff in quicksand without any recovery. It takes about 10k lbs of tow to get my ass to work everyday. A winch would help but not guaranteed since my fat a$$ is gaining weight every day. What are we talking about again?

Hi Marie, and Hi to the rest of the HS family,
Glad to hear you all are doing well and healthy.

This is so very nice and generous of you. With so much uncertainty for so many people your showing us not to give up hope. This will also make it possible for someone who might have never been able to get Offroad with confidence to do so. This would be very important at this time in history, especially for those with kids.

    You all rock :headbang:

As for the giveaway, I don't really need one per se; however, if I had one then I'll be happily buying a new front bumper :) Thanks for doing this giveaway, HS helped me immensely when I bought my lift and I will continue to do business down the line when I upgrade :D

@HeadStrong Off-Road You guys are awesome for doing this and helping us stay focused on something positive during this tough time: wheeling and modding our Toyotas.

My buddy Seth and I have a long history of doing dumb stuff together. I have so many stories throughout the decades, but here was the last one. We met out in Bluff, UT and decided to head out further in to the desert for a fall camping trip before it got too cold. He used to own Toyotas (85 4Runner, 87 Turbo pickup, long travel 92 pickup) but now owns a Cummins rig with a pop up camper. He still drives it like his 92 long travel truck (most of the time). We found out, on this trip in particular, it weighs slightly more than the Toyotas he's owned in the past ! Definitely more than my 2014 pictured pulling his out.

The first stuck was an easy fix. He was just trying not to drag the camper too much on departure and got hung up. The 2nd stuck, not so much. My Taco blew through the crossing but, in the only other cautious, slow driving I've ever witnessed him doing, he killed the Cummins as he tried to crawl through in 2nd gear. WTF Seth! We dug for 8 hours or so, tried pulling with my Taco, tried a tow strap/cam strap/tire winch type recovery deal we saw on YouTube (that just ruined a tow strap) but to no avail. At about noon the next day, a Jeep with a 10k winch rolled by. With his 10K winch, a snatch block, a HiLift and both trucks blocked and locked together, we got that big, heavy Cummins free.

Please vote for me so I don't have to rely on Jeeps to pull my friends out when they do dumb ass stuff! Thanks! And thanks again Headstrong!

Awesome contest you're doing! I live in a rural part of Vermont with plenty of dirt roads that are covered in ice/snow a fair bit of the year. I put my truck into a ditch when I first got it but was lucky enough to be able call up some friends to help pull me out. Cell service is spotty up here to say the least. I'm hoping to install the winch for not only my own piece of mind to also help out my fellow neighbors who find themselves in similar situations and need a hand. Just this year I've had to push (or tried to push) at least 3-4 cars out of ditches, with a winch the task would be a hell of a lot easier and more successful.

That is a legit stuck! At least it looks like he could still access the camper for a good nights rest after digging for 8 hours. :D

Hi Marie, I have been a fan of Headstrong from the minute that you took the time to walk me through my suspension purchase. I am now trying to teach others the same way you taught me. I have been slowly working on my build as time and money allows, but would love if you would consider me for your winch giveaway. I am a Psychologist working now to help people through the chaos of the world as we know it, both on and off of TW. I am able to get out and offroad a couple of times a year and enjoy my truck but I would love to help more people with the aspect of recovery with this winch when I am on the trails. You know me from last year by putting on a NE meet for Autism and we are trying to do the same thing this year, not withstanding any group events being able to be held regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. My entry might not the funniest or clever, but just know that if I am picked, it will be going to a vehicle that will help others (as well as my truck most likely if I'm in a bind) with a driver that will continue to help others even if I am not the one that is picked. Thank you for your consideration. Here is a updated pick of my rig...

    Yes.
I need a winch so I will never have to ride around on the same trail as another dirty TW MEMBER. Also picture features another member who I will nominate once I remember his username. Great guy and I did enjoy hanging out with his frenchies
