It can be a blessing and a curse. When I got my first bike in 2005 (Suzuki Boulevard C50) I joined a Suzuki Boulevard/Volusia forum that had a really active group in Central Florida. They were super welcoming to new riders and taught me a lot about the nuances of group riding. The core group was about 10-15 riders and it wasn't unusual for us to put in 4-500 miles on a ride. If we met somewhere local for food we'd have about 40-50 people show up. I was active with that group for a couple of years until work started getting in the way. I think I racked up close to 15,000 miles from 2005-2007, but only had around 24,000 on the bike when I sold in in 2013.

When I was riding with my first American Legion post (Legion Riders), they had some decent sized groups but they essentially just barhopped from one post or bar to the next, knocking back a couple of beers at every stop. I think the longest ride we did was maybe 100 miles and it took all damned day. I switched to a different post and they were pretty much the same, but swap liquor for beers. That group was sketchy as hell. The Legion Riders at both posts were trying really hard to act like MCs, so much so that they had open door policies for local clubs (in gross violation of the actual American Legion regs and Legion Riders charter).

Then you have the big charity rides that are typically organized well but mixing a shit tonne of bikers that don't ride together regularly turns the event into a complete clusterfuck.

Now I ride mostly solo or with a handful of friends and their MC friends, though riding solo is much less stressful.

looks clean! I see it has some after market items there as well, I see a belly pan fairing, front headlight cowl and fender eliminator just from the picture alone. I dont think they came with shorty black clutch and brake levers either...

black grom would look awfully nice next to that white bolt :gossip:

He wants $2000, has 800 miles on it. Pretty sure bought it new. It was red originally and he added the parts you mentioned, also has exhaust on it. Older pic:

wow for 800 miles 2k is not a terrible price, but obviously 2k is still not exactly free either lol

does PA charge sales tax on used vehicles??

that is one of the (arguably many) big draw backs living here in NY, we get slapped with sales tax on all used vehicles... so that is something often not taken into consideration when comparing pricing across all 50 states...
