What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Azure had a BIG change yesterday on 28MAR2020. I had a local shop install @HeadStrong Off-Road 's custom designed 3rd Gen specific 3 Leaf AALs. Also installed were Bilstein 5100 shocks on all four corners for a full 1.5" lift which were also purchased through @HeadStrong Off-Road . I took HS' advice and only went 1.5" to balance between lift and ride because their feedback on maxing out 2" was too stiff with OEM coils and rear springs. I'm glad I listened because the 2" would have negated the factory rake and instead, the factory rake is retained and re-enforced with HS's 3rd Gen AALs. On the advice of @erice , while the installer had the wheels off, I used the opportunity to plastidip them in order to get rid of the silver machine face which drove me nuts. I really like the new look and just like that, new wheels are no longer necessary ( saving a HUGE expense- $25 of dip vs $800+ ).

The ride feels more controlled and less "marshmellowy."

Solution to store recovery strap on @ragofabrication mount...

 

I installed led strips to light up my running boards!
Spliced them into the dome light wires in order to be activated only by unlocking the car with the remote, and when opening any door! All this with dimming behavior!

 

Very nice. Haven’t seen a set up quite like that. Awesome job!!

 

I was just thinking of lighting under my running boards but yours turned out so well now I'm going to light below and above.

Yeah we had a group of about 11 and every one who had 4wheel drive and a lift made it through. Hate it won’t let me upload videos on here. I posted me going through on my Instagram though @justintw32

Love it, didn’t know you could do that! Hearing the engine though makes it makes it much more fun to watch

 

We actually had a few go through the middle, I was not one of the brave souls to try it. 2 lifted 4runners went through with no issues at all!

 

Installed my meso custom ultimate turn signals i got in today. Ordered through caliraisedoffroad as they were the only ones that had them left in stock. They shipped them out quickly and answered all of my questions quickly. Recommend going through them for other products

 

Agreed! The quality is also way off because I reduced it too much. The GIF is only 8.7 MB, whereas, it can be up to 20 MB. As far as the sound, we can get creative like we're kids again! Vroom Vroom!
