No, I was more thinking about the restriction on dividends and buybacks until the loan is paid back. But all of it, yea, they don't want to follow any of those rules.

that’s part of it for sure. I’m wondering if there’s also a level of them wanting to lay off people and need an excuse for it. sorry. Restructure.

Any Ford shareholders in here? Any of you have any thoughts on the dividend and if/when it may be restored?

I am not selling my shares, but I am also not planning to add right now. Maybe adding at these prices would be good if the dividend comes back, but I would rather put that money to work in companies that are currently paying dividends.

I dumped F a few years ago. IMO, the best dividend stock is currently ATT(T). I've got a lot of it in my IRA and the current drop just made me buy more.

I already have a double sized position in T. I try to stay diversified (34 holdings right now), and F was pretty steady until they suspended their dividend. I just wish I knew if it was for a few quarters, or a few years, or a few decades..

I have a couple shares in ATT. The performance of it even before the Rona hit, had me wanting to dump them. Is now the best time to buy more?

Anybody have a good strategy to get around settled funds? I day traded about 6K last week and sold off on Friday, now I have to wait 2-3 business days before buying again.

If your looking to turn and burn T isn't gonna do it for you. If you want a stock you can sit on for years T will do just fine in the long run.

Ask your broker to give your account margin permissions.

At current prices, T will pay you about a 7% dividend. I doubt you'll ever be able to flip this for a big profit, but you can sit back and collect 7% on your money. That's why I own T, I'd be fine if the share price never increased at all.

Never thought about it like that. I'm used to the huge increases in CSCO.

You want huge increases start trading options. Very high risk but also potential for a very high reward. I'm sitting on a NVDA May $250 call right now. Their not for everyone but the leverage they give you should really be illegal. lol

That is all I invest for. I can't stand when my stocks go up in price, makes me not want to buy more. All the money I make though is the dividends that they all pay.

I mean why would they want aid? They are a huge military contractor, that's not going away anytime soon. I need to figure out my buy point for them and add them to my portfolio. They will pop when whatever conflict we start to jump start the economy a few years from now post Rona virus. I mean when the airlines start flying again.

The stock market is a light version of gambling, but options trading is straight up gambling!! LOL
My family has been brokers/owned a firm their whole life and will barely touch options outside their own portfolios. Then again I lost money on the trades they told me to do, and I have made more on my own hahaha!

I prefer to think of options as the purest form of speculation out there. I would never encourage anyone to use them but if you're a risk taker at heart they sure as shit are fun to trade. lol

Oh for sure!! I'm a cheap ass who hates losing money and I flat out dont understand them so I dont go near them. I do find it funny people trying to learn them now, this would be the same as trying to learn how to ice skate in an NHL game LOL!!!

If I want a thrill I'll go crawl over some boulders the size of a Prius with my truck, not with my savings lol. Even if I roll the truck, total it and end up in the hospital, I'll be out less money than options ahahah!!

It's interesting how many people I know that have never traded have asked me in the last week about trading. I see a lot of pissed off people in the near term. lol

I set my options with a trailing stop. Anywhere from 10-30% depending on where the VIX is. I like to adhere to the old adage of never hold on to a loosing position. There's other ways to make options safer but that's a lesson for another day.

I guess we are opposite because whenever I am down 10% on a particular ticker then I watch until it goes down 12 and I place another order to average down..
