So I've got the headlights apart, and I'm about to paint the bezels, but I have one question: Is there an easier way to remove the old sealant rather than stick the parts back in the oven and scrape it off when it has been heated up?

That's what I thought. How much of it do I need to remove do you think?

I moved enough to put the new bead of window weld into the channel. I used a flathead screwdriver and heated up each headlight twice. It's kind of tedious but I got lazy towards the end...
