Just wanted to post up my experiences with Headstrongs 2.5 inch lift coils as I wasn't able to find much of anything about them. There were a few threads regarding the 2 inch coils (equivalent to OME 884 apparently) but nothing on the 2.5 which I'm assuming is the equivalent to the 885s. Install was easy, I have them mated with 5100s at the lowest setting per Headstrongs recommendation. I measured from center of wheel to fender and got 22.5" on both sides. Glad I went with these and hope it helps others make the decision if you have your eye on them. Heres some pics I took, let me know if there are any other pictures or measurements anyone would like. Thanks Headstrong!

I forgot to mention, even though you can tell in the photo, but this may help others as well, I kept my stock UCAs and Firestone had zero issues getting the alignment in check.

When you jack up the front (or if you were to have a quick drop off while driving) does your UCA hit your coils? I have the 2" HS coils with the B5100s and my UCA hits my coils when I lift the front using my jack. However, I get 22.75 on the right left. My offroad is the beach so I'm not terribly worried about the UCA/coil contact while driving but I probably will get some new (SPC) UCAs soon to allow the clearance.

Interesting. At full droop, they are very close but no contact. I have a double cab 4x4. My measurements are a little closer to 22.75 or 23 but I only have 50 miles on them so I'm assuming it with settle a little. It's also a bit challenging to accurately measure with my new wheels and 285s.

I had the 2" HS lift coils for about a year on my regular cab paired with B5100 as well. they are nice US made coils, but too much spring rate & lift for a RC. I ended up with 2.5" + . No contact issues with SPC UCA's though.

hhmmm ... mine is also 4x4 double cab and the wheels are 265/75/16, but it's a 2005. The driver side coil actually hits the UCA sooner than the other as it droops b/c of the placement of the strut. From the perspective of the 3 bolts on top, I think if I turned one of the struts one nut clockwise they'd be in sync and the UCA would hit each coil at the same spot. I now wish I would have taken a pic yeterday. I'll upload one the next time I'm under the truck.

They are definitely stiffer than my stock TRD OR coils, but in the double cab it rides pretty nice. Its firm but in a good way.

I dont mean any insult here because I actually accidentally did this on install myself but do you have the spring perches installed upside down? I accidentally did that on my passenger side during install only to realize it gave more lift than the driver side and also made the coil sit a little off center as it was being compressed too much and like you said if i were to rotate it, it would've solved the problem. When installed like this, the UCA DID make contact with the coil.

This is an example of the spring perch being installed upside down

I ordered the coils pre-installed from HS, and I just took a quick look and they look good. I'll raise it up in a day or 2 and post another pick of the UCA contact. THANKS.
