It's almost been 1 year since I've owned my tacoma! (March 31st) almost 20k miles! No problems yet! My life gotten way better than ever! I've met new friends across the states, experience getting out of my comfort zone, never worked soo hard paying it off! almost 7 days a week!, really passionate about nature, a lot of traveling! and I'm grateful for all the endless knowledge on this forum!

Hope everyone is safe and good health. Cheers lets ride out this crisis out! :crapstorm:

Yeah, chicks are way more into me now. I got a big raise when I got my truck. Stop lights are always green when I drive. I never hear a bad song on the radio. I always see a big buck when in the woods.

I've gone from being a regular guy to a real winner since buying this truck.

My life changes constantly, which is pretty much the point of life.

The taco is just another part of the evolution.

Random guys tell me they like my truck. Been seeing a guy with the same 1st gen driving around for weeks now coming out of the neighborhood across from mine. The other day he drove past me as I was getting in at the store, just happened we were both going home, so when I pulled up beside him the usual "nice truck, how many miles, looks great, etc." Now every time I see him we wave and go on with our day. Don't know him, don't need to, but sure would be nice if everyone was that chill.

Once upon a time, I didnt like vehicles and just wanted something that got me from point A to point B, then I saw my neighbors tacoma. Then I got one. Now I love learning more about my truck, working on it, and unfortunately draining my wallet on a regular basis :bananadead:

Not at all. But I only have a 5 lug. I'm sure that's why.

Everyone thinks I'm an unmarked pool or bug guy.

    What alternatives are there?

I'm starting out gay... maybe the rush of testosterone provided by the Taco will turn me straight. :smokertransformer:

Did my life change owning a Tacoma? Yes and here's why. I picked up my Tacoma a week after graduating college and a month before leaving my hometown and moving across the country to start my career. In a new place, transitioning from being a student my whole life to working full-time, living on my own, etc. Let me tell you, moving somewhere new by yourself is TOUGH, especially if you tend to be the introverted, keep-to-yourself type. Started getting pretty lonely and homesick.

A few months in, I discovered a local Toyota group that a guy named Phoenix and a couple other TW legends were getting started. Those are some of the chilliest guys I've met, and I made a bunch of friends through something in common that's as seemingly trivial as owning a cool Toyota truck. And then they got me into modifying the truck and taking it off-road, something I swore I'd NEVER do. It's been fun. Helped make this new place actually feel like home.
