Lol that’s a problem I have all the time. “What’d you get? How big? What bait were you using? How do you fillet/eat those?” Sometimes it’s annoying as shit.

I had some tournament guy come in after us yesterday. “Oh man we slayed them. 60-80 on the boat”. Cool bro. I just got.....4.

Lake County has been closed down completely to fishing for a while now, over a week for sure

I’m honestly still confused about what we can or can’t do in some areas. They seem to say you can’t leave at all unless for essentials, but then they also say to leave for a hike or bike ride if necessary to get some air. To me there’s no difference between that fishing. :notsure:

Actually I’m kind of okay with it, all the fish will be bedding/spawning without being harassed like they normally are. Might be good in the long run.

@jamesfishn09 Do you live close to Yorty Creek? I want to go up there and fish, but I'm not sure if they closed access to that area at this time. Wasn't sure if you were close to that area or if you have heard about closings.

I don’t live near there. I am in Fairfield. I would just search through Army Corps of Engineers regarding current access. It is changing almost daily now. Just remember it is cartop launch only if it is open.

Yeah I should have just looked a bit harder. I ended up finding the site with the information shortly after posting my message to ya. As of March 23rd, everything is closed on or around the lake. All access, parks, etc.

Oh well.... back to the delta.

You can still access at the ramp in Suisun City. Also all along Grizzly Island

100% Agree and that was actually the one I was speaking about in Suisun City.

I prefer launching there and just riding over to where I want to fish instead of going to montezuma. That launch blows and is always congested.

The cool thing about my inflatable kayak is its super portable and lightweight so I can drop in almost anywhere. The one spot I frequent often out there is right off a main road. I can park, air up my kayak, drop in right there and I’m catching fish.

I have not caught (nor seen caught) any fish there but Lagoon Valley in Vacaville is a nice park and at least a decent place to paddle and get out.

When it was empty from the drought I rode my bike in the lake floor. I never saw any remains of fish but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something in there.
