Passenger side cab mount relocate is done. Driver side maybe tomorrow or next weekend. I went with the red goat fab relocate, I just like the design more. Cutting the old mount off wasn't bad but grinding everything smooth took a while. I was able to beat my firewall back probably another inch with my 12lb sledge. Might need to tub a little this summer but we will see next time i go wheeling.

Great Build! I have been thinking about doing this to my ride. Have you had the chance to use that Badlands Winch much? Im interested in how well they hold up and perform.

 

Ordered 3rd members with 4.88s and an ARB locker in the rear from ECGS.

 

Painted and installed the compressor mount I had fabricated by a buddy of mine. Now I just need to bolt in the compressor and wire it up. The bracket is beefy because the compressor is too. He did a good job reusing the mount points for the power steering reservoir I relocated.

Alright, time for a little update. My baby got new shoes and some lights, shout out to my boy Shawn @Taco-Obsessed for the homie hook up. I also just put in a Optima Yellow Top battery.

Tried to bolt on some sliders I bought used from a member but I couldn't find the very first piece of hardware I needed. Decided to put them on anyway and put that part on when I could get it from the manufacturer. Went to take the one bolt out of the frame you have to remove, and it broke. Said to hell with that idea and gave it a long overdue interior cleaning instead.

Plus the black truck in the picture he uses for the 12-15 front bumper is just SEXY AF IMHO.

 

Finally got these ghetto ass leaf hangers off from the previous owner and got on my BAMF hangers installed.

 

Rather than beating on them, just sand those keeper rings down. They are only there to keep the washer in place on the assembly line at the factory. That's what I did anyway and then installed the d-ring between the washer and the bolt head. And like @kalaukoa said, plenty of-anti seize when you reinstall.

couldn’t you weld a nut on the top if all else failed? Or weld the torx bit into the bolt? Kinda like When a drain or fill plug gets stripped? Or would the weld not be strong enough to turn it out?
