LOL people still comparing this to the flu.

The flu never basically closed the economic kitchen till April 30th.

The flu never caused the Fed to buy the market.

The flu never caused a two trillion dollar rescue plan.

The flu never caused 3 million plus to file for unemployment.

Will we recover from this sure, but people are being overly optimistic at this point that there will be some v-shaped instant recovery. We now find ourselves in a bigger pickle if there's anything else is waiting in the wings.

It does not. Just makes you look like an ignorant fool (whether you are actually an ignorant fool or not).

My post was pure facts and nothing more

I'm not saying we're going to zero, but the Fed buying the market is not a sign of economic health. There will likely be a "change" in the next cycle and it won't be good for business or taxpayers. We're grossly underestimating how irrationally pissed off the masses become when the economy goes sour. They like to shoot themselves in the foot.

This virus didn't do any of those things either.
    Government has.
    It's good to take precautions.
We should also take precautions to make sure that the cure is not worse than the ill.

    Up 12% today.

No way in hell but hey, there's every chance it could happen at this point and it'll be cool to be the one to call it.

I agree with you, and you’re kind of making my point about the overreaction in your last 2 sentences. I can’t really go into too much depth without getting political, which we aren’t allowed to do here. I think some people are following me though.

Let’s keep our arguments at bay before they lock us down again fellas.

The first day of this sell off was the flu, the rest of this drop is the commerical debt markets imploding 2008 style. Until they get that mess straightend out, which means they will make it worse in the long run, it will keep dropping.

SPG just as other REITs got a serious buzz cut.

I bailed before 100 on the way down and still lost money. I don't know if it's a bargain at 56 but maybe at 43 it was.

The dividend will probably be cut if it hasn’t already been. Still a good long term buy though in my opinion.

Indeed. I may buy on the dividend cut announcement. But need to take a serious look at their holdings. Some retail places were on the way out before the Covidian strike force.

Yeah, I was not sad when I heard Gamestop was having a tough time. To be honest, I didn't even know they had more than 50 locations anymore, let alone the portion they closed down. There are definitely some companies that were rocky/not doing well before anyway.
