Geolandar X-AT, anyone?

I’ve only had these on for a week but so far traction has been great on wet roads and in the mud. They ride smooth and are pretty quiet

 

Very nice! Thanks for the info! As much as I love the look of the MT I might opt for safety silence and better mpg's this next go around.

 

I finally go to test these out in the rain since it doesnt rain much in Socal. but, so far so good. I'm really happy with them. i definitely feel comfortable having my 1yo in the truck with these.

So far I love these RTs,
Quiet on road, lots of grip in the mud and gravel, look awesome too.

 

Definitely loving the tire so far. The lack of road noise is a beautiful sound. Now just need to get it out on the trails and on some wet roads to see how they do.

 

I've had em for about 6 months so far. They do well in the snow. Definitely louder and heavier than the KO2s that I have on the Tacoma, but I'd buy em again. 275/70r18 on 18x9.

 

Thinking about getting this tire and size. Could you tell me what the overall height is at the psi your running?

 

The RTs are a great tire! I had a set on my truck and got about 55k out of them before swapping them for the Geolander MTs. I wanted to go w/ them again but that cost is a killer! I like the Yoko MTs a lot but I'm looking hard at the X-ATs or the Open Country AT3s for my next set.

 

Any rub?

 

They are 30.5” at 36 psi, no rubbing

 

How are these tires after having them for awhile? Tire wear, noise, different weather conditions.

 

I've had the Open Country R/Ts and loved them. When it came time to replace them I went with the Geolander M/Ts and really like them as well. I'm back in the market and I'd like to go back to the R/Ts but they're a bit pricey and I was looking hard at the Open Country AT IIIs but they're just not aggressive enough. These have landed on my radar and I'd love to hear how they are holding up from folks that have had them for a while - noise, wear, etc...

 

Did you end up going with these x-ats?

 

I ended up going w/ the Maxxis Razr ATs. They came up as an option late in my search and I just kept coming back to them. I got them a week ago and put a quick 2k miles on them. So far I'm very happy w/ the choice.

 

Any updates from those who live in northern climates on how these perform on slush, packed ice, and such?

I really love the look of these but im hesitant to take the plunge. Debating playing it safe with Wildpeak At3ws

 

Don't bother with the X-ATs if you are concerned with winter weather. While I did make them work for me in the PNW I have swapped them out for Toyo AT IIIs. I drive over the mountain pass regularly now which was what necessitated the switchover. Otherwise the X-ATs performed very well in all other aspects. The Falken AT3w was my 2nd choice, but I decided against them because they weigh more.

 

These tire are horrible in the snow, the stock dunlops were better. I use snow tires in the winter but haven’t switched yet and I was surprised how bad these tires have been in the snow
