New member, long time follower. Before anyone jumps on me about other threads, please know that I have read any and all that I can find here and through other sources (Hilux based right side drive, battery, gas tank, etc. on the driver side..) My situation is just the opposite. My Taco bed leans noticeably to the passenger side, not the driver's side, and I have not come across this reading the lean/tilt threads. I, and mechanics, have checked the usual culprits and there is no frame damage; I just replaced both rear shocks (Fox 2.0 performance), my bushings show no damage or deterioration, and all of the bolts that connect the bed to the frame are properly torqued to 60 ft/lbs. Anyone else have experience with this type of passenger side Tacoma tilt? The truck rides great, but when you put a level on the rear tailgate or bumper (full tank or near empty) the tilt is unmistakable. Any thoughts or solutions would be much appreciated. Oh, by the way, my fiance is 105 lbs, so I don't think she is the problem (as per the post suggesting to date/marry a fat girl to correct the driver's side lean. One of my favorite responses! Lol.) Thanks.

Take a measurement between the rear bump stop and the frame, possible a bad sagging rear leaf on that side.

The lean was there before you changed shocks?

Gotoman69, thanks for the suggestion. While I had visually inspected all of the suspension parts, it did not occur to measure that space for the rear leaf sag. Will let you know if that is it.

Dangeroso, yes the lean was there before the shock change. I was hopeful that the shocks were my problem, and my rear passenger shock was completely shot. Unfortunately, this did not correct the lean. Gonna look at the real leaf on that side as suggested. Thanks.

sounds like you may have just answered the question. the leaf pack is what's supporting the truck weight, not the shock. the worn shock is probably from the sagging leaf like the other guys mentioned

Have you checked if the engine-transmission was mounted off center toward the right-hand side? I have, in several occasions, noticed this feature in vehicles with a transverse-engine configuration. My GM K200 trucks were constructed this way. Also, the transfer case has more of its weight on the right-hand side.

SliMbo 4.0, my bumps stops appear to be fine and equally spaced from the frame as you and others have suggested. See pics. Also, the OME rear leafs appear in good shape as well.

Poss vette, I will check the mounts you suggested. Had not heard of that as a possible cause.

    Thank you both.

those look like air bags, not bump stops. maybe check that they both have the same psi
