I was actually looking at buying a foreclosure with a friend and trying to flip it for a profit. Have you done this before?

Today is the last day of the month/quarter so it will be interesting to see if people take their gains and bail out at the end of the day. But the trend has also been for Tuesdays to be up for the last couple of weeks.

I have in Georgia, years ago.

If you're talking about buying "on the steps" vs a bank-owned:

Know how the process works in your state. It varies.

Be prepared to deal with whomever is still living there and couldn't/didn't pay their mortgage. That may mean you need to know (and factor in) the time/expense of performing an eviction.

Figure also on the carrying costs while you renovate the house, as well as the selling costs - even using something like redfin you'd need to expect to pay a commission to the buyer's agent.

Realize you'll likely be bidding against more institutional flippers with an existing crew doing the renovations - they may have lower margins than you would unless you're doing the work yourself.

There might be some forced stock buying by funds required to rebalance. I think that's what is partially causing this end of the month rally for the last few days.

It's the end of the quarter, end of the month, coronavirus, etc. Could be a lot of action in the last few minutes.

I just saw a chart on CNBC of the Dow for the last few months. I can count 9 dead cat bounces since the decline. There are probably more if you zoomed in haha

What’s everyone using? I used Robin Hood in the past. But I’m open to others I’m thinking td ameritrade looks like it’ll do the same features for what I’m looking for at least. Just for “day” trading I’m leaving my retirement in fidelity and betterment and leaving those to the pros.

    I was wrong again!
The company I work for might be a good buy right now, but probably not since I think it's a good buy. Its evoqua water tech. Seems like it's mostly industrial water treatment equipment and services. I dont see people stopping flushing their toilets anytime soon. The stuff I do mostly deals with labs, medical stuff and medical related colleges. There stock price is half what it was a month ago.

It wasn't as bad as it could have been. Maybe it's a sign of things stabilizing.

Charles Schwab. I’ve got the investors credit card so the 1.5% cash back goes straight into my brokerage account. I like the app too.

I like Webull. I started with it because everything is free like Robinhood, but I could also open a qualified IRA and roll an old 401k in to it.
I'm still using Robinhood too though so my judgement may be suspect

I use robinhood and M1 Finance. I started with Robinhood, but started an account with m1 because of the retirement accounts and what not as well. Will more than likely roll stuffs over there.
