My (Restored) 1967 Schwinn Deluxe Stingray two speed. One of my favorite details are the super rare early 70's original Schwinn whitewalls (not reproductions).

I have them, but they're original and a little delicate so I only put them on for special occasions.

My 100% original 1966 Stingray De Luxe. The only thing I've changed on this are the tires (with NOS tires).
One of the cleanest unrestored bikes I've ever seen, out of Utah, with original Utah license plate.

I can remember the smell inside the Schwinn bike store as a kid, all those fresh rubber tires. We would go over and drool at all the shiny new bikes.

It was in Idaho, about 150 miles from me. Mom and Dad felt it too.
Some pretty good aftershocks so far. Luckily its in a sparsely populated area, little towns, lots of forest

My daughter is 25 and still rolling her eyes at me once in a while, - this virus has her stuck in a 2 bedroom apartment downtown Calgary with her roommate - They get along well which is a blessing but she sure is cranky. - She is doing work from home which helps the days go by and since she is not under self isolation nor quarantine anymore she can go out for walks

    Intriguing hobby

Is that, no - really - no - OMG it is - no - well maybe.

    Rock And Roll!!!!!!!!!

    OMG that is beautiful.

We also had a local Schwinn shop within walking distance, but I was the youngest of seven kids so definitely didn't have any bikes that were even close to being cool as a kid.
Funny you should mention the tires, because now I'm a vintage tire snob. These period correct made in U.S. tires are very pricey, between $150-$200 each if you can find them,
and the original Schwinn whitewall slick on my wife's bike I've seen up to $300, because Schwinn never made a reproduction version of it.

So I have a few vintage bikes but one of my older brothers has between 20-25 vintage Scwhinn cruisers and Stingray Krates.
A Stingray Krate has a springer front-end which later became standard on Lowrider bikes here in So Cal.
In the early 80's when I was about fifteen I took off on one my brothers Stingray Krates without permission and I almost got jumped by a couple of homies trying to steal it.
It was kinda funny cuz they stopped me and said "give us the bike", I just laughed and said "It's my brothers bike and I'm more afraid of him than I am of you so try and take it".
They looked at each other kind of confused and just walked away like a couple of bitches. I'm Mexican too but with six older brothers and sisters fighting was in my blood, I definitely wasn't afraid to fight.

Only reasonyou grabbed a new one is you can't find the old one as it has walked off on its own.

    @MTgirl

Watch this vid , it's about the 6.5 magnitude earthquake in Idaho . Also talks about areas for concern (possible earthquakes that may happen)

Is that a known volcanic area at the epicenter?
