In the video he says to cut you bumper first and build it on the truck. Then he just builds it on the bench. Any body have any troubles from building it on the bench without any test fitting throught the assembly?

can you put a 9500lb winch in one of these? I saw on SSO their specs say 9000-10000 but for the kit it says 10000-12000. just wanted to check before I pull the trigger on a winch

Haven't really thought too much about what I'll be asking. I might ship, but I'm guessing it will be pricey to ship (the estimate to ship my new bumper is ~$350). If you want to PM me if you're interested, we can talk about it though.

If I remember right, I think outside of the bullbar placement, the whole stage 1 builds on the bench. Stage 2 builds pretty much entirely on the truck. I can see major fitment issues if you were to build stage 2 on the bench.

Well mine was done and dropped off at powder-coating and then Fresno county shut down all non essential business due to Covid-19 so now I wait. It’s sitting in a warehouse somewhere :annoyed:

I am planning on running this one as well, did you have to relocate the solenoid

I just cut out the little brace that’s in the way. But you do have to either cut the brace or relocate the solenoid, they are in the way of each other.

Another tip for these bumpers. If you want to strengthen the mounting and get extra support brackets, C4 Fab brackets fit pretty easy. I had to grind one corner about 1/4”. And You’ll also need to replace the factory mounting studs, and install longer bolts with washers. The fit is great. And adds support.

We DO NOT recommend the brace from c4 fabrication. That was a band aid they had to come up with after people started complaining of their bumper pulling away form the frame horns. We took this into consideration when we first designed the bumper going on 4 years ago, so NO ADDITIONAL bracing is required or recommended. About the only thing this is accomplishing is to remove your crumple zones, which you'll want, if you are in an accident.
