I had amazing luck in the snow with the ATII. I always looked forward to 6+ inches so that I could head out. The huge downfall that I feel they had was on rainy roads. The light rain the just lifts the surface oil from the pavement was terrible for these tires.

It's a Leer 100XR with a Thule Motion Alpine box mounted on a Prinsu rack. Had to remove some of the Prinsu crossbars because the thule is designed to mount down into the bar level for better aerodynamics. Trying to come up with a mod that makes it sit higher so I don't have to remove the other crossbars everytime I mount it.

The sidewall looks super shallow almost like an outline.

The tread looks better but the sidewall is even weaker looking than the Cooper or the Goodyear.

I thought the ATII had one of the coolest looking treads on the market. With this one I can't unsee the 'S's.

Gotta love all that siping though.

I've got the ATII now and have been satisfied over my 40,000 miles. My only wish was that they had a little more cool looking sidewalls like the KO2. These seem a little better but still not as rough looking as I was hoping. Have to see what they look like as they get installed on more Tacos.

Stuck with the stock 265/70R16. First time Tacoma owner and wanted to get a feel for how it rides on the standard tire size before going bigger.

Does anyone know how changing the tire size affects the performance of the Fox suspension?

The road feel is actually pretty similar to the stock Goodyear's. I do notice a little more road noise on the highway. I'm not sure if it's in my head, but the tires feel like they drive better in the snow. I don't have much to compare to since I got rid of the stock tires within the first few hundred miles.

I just got these tires in stock size for my Tacoma OR, the sidewalls of these tires are not as aggressive as the ones in The KO2s or in the Wildpeaks but they feel more compliant and lighter, much better tire in my opinion. You can’t beat the 65000 mile warranty and they are made in Japan. 26570/R16 for US$151 after price matching a website.

dd light bars, trd cat back exhaust, KDMax tuned, trd skid plate, 2" lift, sema wheels toyo open country at3 tires.
i am still torn on which tire, toyo at3, cooper at3 4s, or the wildpeak at3w. looking at 265/70/r17 for my sport, prefer sl or c rated tires. garage queen, on road princess. drive approx 12-1500 miles a month, mostly highway to vacation property. all these tires have good and bad reviews, my head is swimming, from info overload. :D Ski

About to pull the trigger on these AT3s .. do you mind me asking how much you paid for the set? I’ve gotten several quotes here in the Ontario area.. and how much are you really liking these tires?

I think I got them for around $170 installed. WheelHouse Center in Chino had a cash special. Liking them a lot up here in the snow.

Got the toyo at3s stock 265/70/16 installed on 19 Tacoma a few weeks ago ,love them over the Goodyear tires that came on,not much difference in ride and road noise compared ,so yes a must buy imo.

Yes sir I got the P265/70/16 ,I don't do any hard offroading so no need for me to get a heavier tire just me though, others may vary about getting the p rated tires.

I have a set of these coming in tomorrow and an appointment for mount, balance and alignment Thursday. I hope they are better than the Nitto's, they just seemed to need to be re balanced all the time and the wet road traction sucked.
What is the "S" thing mean? Am I missing something?
