Not sure if any of you are aware but body work is my last priority. I fixed the fender because it was gnarly but I’m fixing running gear first. Needs a cool thousand of crater removal and paint work

I’m switching to braided wheelers lines when I do the rear suspension and brakes. It’s well secured with a heavy duty tie and hasn’t given any signs of failure

    I tried some wd40
I figured out I can push the cable back in, and it helps.
made me wonder if it's the cable more than the latch

i tried wd40 as well, but it seemed to 'dry out' fairly quick

When I tried it, it didn't seem to help at all.

found a new latch on ebay for like 15 bucks, might try that.
