I bought some T today. Without the coronavirus, we'd never see T at $27. I just need more money...

I messed up last time. I just started to dabble in this stuff, but I saw it last time and expected the market to keep dropping. I put an order in a little lower then market then it shot up 60 bucks instantly.

I added at $139 but would love for it to go cheaper. I’m just gonna keep an eye on it. Eventually it will be back up and eventually they will reissue dividends.

The only bad news I’ve heard about is the death count or possible death count. They mentioned keeping the world shutdown until the end of April and no one cares. They mention deaths and the market tanks more lol.

Yeah I know it's a bit off. I have to get more than one, and that's not even an official so you never know where that could land you.

Yeah I'm only 3 years into a 30 year plus some extra principal payments so in theory I could do a 25, maybe even could swing a 20. We'll see when the time comes.

You can get an appraisal done, but that's about $500 when a refi is not much more, includes an appraisal, and could knock my mortgage down a percent. But, we are also considering moving in the next few years so that's one reason I'm not really invested in a refi. Maybe an appraisal if I can get a decent pre-appraisal neighborhood of house value and it would make sense.

My PMI is 110/month so within 5 months I'm in the green for a re-appraisal.

I read an article that used a ratio of deaths to population when comparing this to other pandemics. The worst case scenario that they're predicting was very similar, as a ratio, to the Asian Flu in 1957-1958 and the Hong Kong Flu in 1968-1970. That is the most logical way that I have seen to look at it, as a percentage of the population at the time of the pandemic. Yes, it's bad, but it is nowhere near the Spanish Flu, even in a worst case scenario.

I think it was widely assumed the shutdown would continue so that wasn’t really a big announcement. Same with the virus projections.
The projected death count has been out there for some time already, just hadn’t been openly talked about by the whitehouse. I don’t think it will cause anything significant in the markets. They’ve already seen the big drops and somewhat stabilized, smaller moves up and down. If they were to announce extending the shutdown for May, that would probably change things. But it seems we are in a bit of a holding pattern at the moment.

We will come out of this and the market will zoom back. There will be a lot of pent up demand for things one people are "free" again.

    Define zoom.

There's going to be a global reduction in GDP. Unemployment could reach 15%. Feds are pumping money like never before in history. IMO, It's going to be a slow ride back to the top.

I once had a mortgage company tell me that to qualify for removal of PMI, I had to hit 80% of original loan value. That meant that appreciation did nothing for me and I had to refinance to get rid of it which meant all the costs associated with a refi. Thank God I haven't had to deal with PMI in a long time.
