There's a cv19 Federal Aid package that big corporations can apply for that gives them incentives to keep employees on staff throughout this and keeping them paid. I'm not sure on the details but I know it involves tax incentives and maybe a loan from the gov.
Our CFO emailed us this morning and told us our company applied for it and we'll continue to get paid in the meantime until at least Apr 20

I saw two guys riding bicycles down the street wearing hospital masks. I guess I've seen it all now.

If its a forgiveness loan, then all good but if it's not, that could mean trouble long term if companies don't bounce back after this. Especially having to pay high interest on said loan.

Owner and I actually talked about this last week when they let go one of the last managers here.

Just me and the parts manager as far as management goes.

A dude at the post office had a dust mask and gloves on. I was gonna ask him if he was refinishing furniture but decided not to.

I know small businesses are getting a forgiveness loan, 6 months worth. My wife is applying for it as we speak. It'll be a huge help if it works out and be the difference in keeping her business alive through this.

I'm not sure if it's a forgiveness loan for the bigger corps but definitely some huge tax incentives. My wife's been reading all about it the last few days, I'll try to get the cliff notes from her when she's done working in a bit

Apparently the CDC has started saying everyone should wear masks now... At first it was only sick people or healthcare workers, but now they saying that since anyone can have the virus for 2 weeks without symptoms that it's safer if we just assume that we already have it and act accordingly (wear masks).

The irony is that there are none to be found, at least not legit ones. I saw a dude with a diaper strapped across his face the other day at the grocery store

Lol. A dust mask wont do anything to stop a virus. A diaper may be better haha.

This afternoon, I took the front 3rd member over to the FedEx ground office for shipment to AZ.

The place is in an industrial building complex. I passed by a building with a full parking lot and people standing in a line outside. I'm like what's going on in that place? Then I saw the sign "Harvest Cannabis Dispensary". Their business is booming today.

Yep, customer that got the Wrangler makes $70k a month.

The guy that gifted me a $1000 gift card for best buy some 7 years ago or so, made about $120k or $150k a month. He owned an AG Loan company....meaning he lent money to rich people

Yea weed shops out here have been packed too, stoners are stockpiling on their weed just like others stock pile TP for fear of the industry getting shut down lol. It was considered essential though in CA at least, probably because of the medical aspect
