    Good afternoon Tacoma World,

Disclaimer: I don't currently have a Taco. I have a 2007 Volvo XC-70 that my spouse and dog use and abuse for camping and mild off roading for the last 10 years. I have been researching Tacoma's for about 10 months and would like to buy before june/july this year.

Question: In your experience, what is a reasonable bottom line for a used 2018 Cav Blue TRD PRO, manual trans with 25k miles?

It is currently listed in the east coast area for a "discounted" price of 35k. I emailed the dealer with a few minor questions and a prospective offer of a OTD price of sub 30k. This color, trans, and trim are exactly what I want based on my research. I would use it primarily as a daily driver and camping utility vehicle. Currently have a roof tent on the Volvo that I would transfer to the Taco on a bed rack. I checked the CarFax and see no significant issues with the truck. Based on the current economic forecast I'm thinking that dealerships may be more likely to let go of used models, especially a manual, and let it go for slightly below buebook, but that may just be wishful thinking on my part. Thoughts on if my sub 30k offer is unrealistically low based on your experiences? If so, what do you think would be a reasonable offer given the economy in the next 30-60 days?

It should not make a difference but I plan to finance about half the cost via USAA and pay half cash from savings for this purpose. Either way, I do not plan to finance at all through the dealership.

Thank you in advance for any input you have. It is appreciated.

Screaming good deal and you'll see by cross checking the prices on cars.com or auto trader. Great color too and I want that or Cement for my pro in MT but it appears that all the calvary blue went to the east coast and gulf coast regions because I wasn't able to locate one remotely close. Enjoy either way!

Great deal. Buy it. Whoops too late.

No offer is too low, if they accept it.

It a TRD Pro. What your offering is a price for a non-pro Tacoma that year with those miles. There discounted asking price is already a pretty good price for that truck.

Take this for what it's worth - I just bought a brand new '19 Pro a few weeks ago for $38,590. Looking at cars.com, the lowest price for a new '19 within 150 miles is just over $43k. My wife did a hell of a job bargaining.

The least expensive '18 Pro with a manual and less than 30k miles is $37K. Yours sounds like a decent deal.

Roughly 18% of Americans have the skills to drive a manual transmission. The great price is reflective of supply and demand in the marketplace. I would look for a new leftover ‘19 Pro first however.

Great price. Im guessing yours had a 44-45k msrp for a manual?

Cars.com is listing six brand new 2019 manual Pro’s for sale. Offer $38.5k and see if any dealers take the bait. And you will get seats that have not been farted in:)

Auto, not manual. I would have preferred a manual to teach the kids with but so be it. If I remember what my wife said, I think the MSRP was right around $42k.

If its a 2019 Pro Auto, Original msrp on window sticker had to be at least $46,600. Whats your wife's fee? Lol.

My mistake. Starting price at the dealer, not MSRP, was $42k, which she then got down to $38.5k.

Basically she just pitted one dealership in town against one 2 hours away. The out of town dealer ended up with the better deal and delivered it to my driveway. We never even left the house! And this was just before all this Covid business.
