Yup. I use some farm implement paint that has some rust convertor in it. It's the same spots that get chipped so the paint only lasts a few months anyways. Wash the truck, let it dry, paint, wait a few months do it again (really ends up being like once a year).

I just use a little piece of sand paper, go down to metal and smooth the chips out, hold cardboard up to the truck for overspray, and rattle can

I usually just rock the rusty scratches and every year or two I will hit the spots with a wire wheel/brush, mask off the rockers and hit it with some rusty metal primer and top coat. Near as I can figure most of the sliders any of us run are stout enough that a little rust is nothing but a cosmetic issue which you can always touch up if it bothers you or treat more as a periodic maintenance item like I do.

if this goes well i might figure out a better solution, i was considering running an adapter to one of the engine stands we have, but they’re not stable enough to get readings off of.

He has a nice 3/4” thick 8’x4’ table he built. It’s really nice for pounding out stuff on it. It doesn’t even wiggle.

Good tests on showing that Shell Rotella is pretty awesome. Will stock up on this the next time it's on sale.
