I grinded for XP until I hit 40 and then lost a lot of steam after that so hunting shinies is about the only thing that keeps me playing. that and completing any research quest lines they come out with. I pretty much open the game once a day and try to catch, spin, and complete a task to keep all my streaks going. On CDs I catch enough shinies to evolve everything and then I try to raid all the bosses to fill my ‘dex...

My wife and I still play. I’m better about it than her. If there isn’t an event she won’t open it but I still do my daily spin, catch, and task at a minimum. Caught a shiny Skarmory today while I was out hunting the new shiny Croagunk

 

Nice! I picked up a shiny Giaratina the other day - was super stoked about that!

 

I can’t get it out raid 5* right now but I did get a Giratina (not shiny) in PVP the other day but now I can’t string together more than 1 or 2 wins so I’m not banking on getting the new Raid boss this month

 

Found a shiny teddirusa yesterday. Was pretty excited about that.
