makes sense but it’s all the same un-enforceable stuff the states are pushing. I’m not against staying home but gov making orders and military giving orders that cannot be enforced are a bit silly. All a troop or civilian has to do is say he went grocery shopping. I think it would sound much better if these messages came across more friendly from the gov asking everyone to not go out unless necessary instead of saying it’s an order. As for the mil, they can put it out at the whatever level and try whatever enforcement they can... it’s the military way, largely ineffective but still the military way.

Except in the military it is 100% legally enforceable, unlike many civilian stay at home orders.

yes but still nearly impossible to enforce. You cannot prove intent unless there’s a pattern that shows. Who knows, maybe post hq will have a roster of everyone that comes and goes and that roster will show patterns of certain individuals entering post too frequently? Either way, I don’t see that rule being heavily enforced... too many possibilities. As a former babysitter, I can’t imagine being able to determine if my guys actually needed groceries or not.

The students stay at there home station. We have AI's from there home station that will conduct D&C, PRT, and CIT (conduct individual training) aka sergeant's time training. No more graduations as of now. We come to the Academy and facilitate the classes through VTC. It takes about 90% of the fun of being an instructor but it is what it is.

The post commanders pushed out a GO1 (General order one) and enforcing UCMJ for anyone that isn't following it. Yes you're right, anyone can just say they are doing one of the allowed things but soldiers and spouses are calling the MP and informing them of people doing the wrong thing. If the MPs get call then the Polizei get called and you will be fined. From 150 euro to 25,000 euro for repeated offender. People are really following this order cause they dont want to risk the fine on top of UCMJ.

Dependent on states mostly and local guidance. Ours here in AZ are closed along with all others off base.

Dude I’m over here in Mons, Belgium and the Dependas are going crazy with reporting people they see out and about. They are openly posting on the SHAPE page about how they are proud to report those who they believe are not in compliance. Blows my mind.

The bases here are on “lockdown” but it isn’t what a lot of people think it is apparently. PX, Commissary/Market, gas stations, car washes, etc all still open. No barber shops but that doesn’t matter as the bases are ghost towns lol.

As for the civi dudes back home in the US with family members that are in...There’s no crazy lockdown where they can’t have their phones or tell you what’s going on...unless they are in Basic Training/AIT/OSUT/Boot Camp/a boot in TRADOC. Because if so, homeboy/girl is keepin it secretive, not for OPSEC purposes, but out of embarrassment that they are police calling (trash pick up) the roads, sweeping the mud puddles, or cleaning vehicles from 0800-1730 M-F. Those are the peeps who are truly suffering right now lol.

So which MCB would that be? lol I heard Lejeune (and Bragg, while discussing stupidity) was pretty much business as usual...which doesn’t surprise me.

With the relaxed grooming standards in effect, the higher ups is more concerned about appearance than the health of their service members. a Dependa posted it on IG and now the base is going to close the barbershops on base.

Hahahaha damn dependas. Smells and sounds like Lejeune. That place was a joke back in 03...so I guess I’m glad to hear it hasn’t changed.
