We've only had two here in a years time. It's nice to see some life besides the ravens.
The deer seem to be staying at a distance for the last few weeks. not sure what's up with them.

Just read that ALL roads in the Tahoe National Forest are closed until at least 30 April 2020.

I know this was yesterday, but when I went to my local bevmo they were doing online orders only for pickup or delivery.
Is that the case with Walnut creek too?

So if the roads have a seasonal closure date on the motor vehicle map then those are the roads being extended.
On the Plumas National Forest you don’t need a fuel wood permit to cut firewood until 4/30/2020. Then after that date you’ll need a wood permit

This is what I read. You can find it on the TNF Alerts Page.
    ------------------------
    Date(s): Apr 1, 2020

The Tahoe National Forest has issued a Forest System Road Closure Order postponing the opening of all Off Highway Vehicle routes scheduled to open prior to April 30, 2020. This Forest System Road Closure applies to all trails, roads and routes specified in the 2010 Record of Decision for the Tahoe National Forest’s Motorized Travel Management Final Environmental Impact Statement and as posted on the Tahoe National Forest’s Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM). This Forest System Road Closure Order is effective April 1, 2020 through April 30, 2020, or until rescinded.

    ------------------------

BTW, This applies to the Tahoe National Forest, check if you plan on going anyplace else.

That's what it looks like. With some exceptions, they normally on April open 1.

Right. The roads that aren't seasonal closures are still open. They're just extending the season.
