Will do. I also have two bone in pork butts to do this weekend, one for the neighbors, and one for us.

No, when we chose the lot, the grade was 2%. Gentle slope. THEN they came in and raised the road bed 3 to 8 feet...making my lot a hole. Since we're at the end of the cul de sac, the sewer is at its highest point in front of my house. They already made the back of my foundation 11 feet tall, so there was no way to get our waste out to the sewer line without a sump. My neighbor has one too, and learned a valuable lesson about how "flushable" wipes - aren't. $3K worth of lesson.

Was EXTREMELY pleased so see how clean my sump well was. We don't use bar soap, but do use CLR on our toilets monthly. That has done wonders in keeping the well clean.

The sump well after cleaning the crud off the float - during function check. Flawless.

We lived out in the country when I was growing up, so had a well, with a "well pit". It was basically a hole in the ground with a sump pump at the bottom. The shaft of the hole was a 55 gallon drum, with the ends cut off. It was my job in the spring to go into the pit and scoop out all the dead worms that had accumulated over the winter. (Minnesota has serious frost depth, and the worms needed to go somewhere). Fun times.

    Throw Back Thursday!

You have a “chopper” pump, more expensive than mine. Shit doesn’t flow uphill.
