Haha I was thinking the same. My dakars have seen better days, even though they're only 14 months old. I'll definitely be interested in these once they're available.

Mine has always looked like that on the truck, but this is the first set that's stayed bent when off the truck. Honestly I'm a little proud of myself in some weird way lol

I’m the second owner of mine. And I’m starting to notice a section starting to do the same thing on mine.

Yeah, went super smooth. I had 1 buddy come help me drill while I chopped the rivet heads down. It wasn’t a big deal. I didn’t have fancy tools just a harbor freight cutoff wheel and several grinder discs / flapper discs. I also removed my HC bumper which gave me A CRAZY amount of room to work with

A helping hand is always nice. Too bad We have this social distancing. My downfall was not having a proper drill that could accept the 1/2” drill bit that Eric provided. I drilled a few holes with my battery operated drill and titanium drill bits, those didn’t last long. Luckily I was able to borrow brother in law’s corded drill. The drill bits and a proper corded drill with side handle that has a chuck for 1/2” drill bits is key.

To be honest, my humble Milwaukee (NON 1/2” chuck) basic drill and basic drill bits made short work of the drilling! I agree. Proper big bits that Eric provides work better but mine worked great. I kept spraying PB blaster into the hole I was drilling to aid as a coolant/penetrating liquid. I’ve never done that before and it definitely helped

i got my hammer hangers installed the other day about 2 hours a side. pretty strait forward. buy some good hard metal drill bits and some taping lube and go slow. i did it the same as everybody else. cut some x's on the rivet heads and then pneumatic hammered the tops off and drilled them out. well i got the three easy one out then used the force of the spring and a pry bar on the spring to beat the old perches off. then the forth rivet i ground off and drilled and hammered the rest of the rivets out. also attach the new perch on the spring hanger then bolt the perch to the frame. now i can't wait to get some deaver sua action going. anyone is socal holding on to a pair?IMG_3793.jpg IMG_3794.jpg IMG_3795.jpg IMG_3798.jpg IMG_3808.jpg

I forgot to mention that the difference is noticeable driving the truck out of the driveway. Way less shimmy and chatter. Very noticable

Decided to replace bushings on oem shackle with ome bushings that came with my Dakars. What a mistake. Got stock bushings out but can’t get ome bushings even close to seat. Anyone have any ideas? Tempted to just buy new shackles at this point.

I gave mine a crappy test today. Hauled about 5 yards of heavy composted horse manure for the garden. Everything worked great truck was nice and stable.

You have to remove the flanged outer steel sleeve that is part of the stock bushing
