Anyone seen this with an OEM tonneau? I had it ceramic coated as soon as it left the dealer. Went to do my first wash (4 weeks later) and noticed this weird spot that wasn’t there when I got the truck back from coating. Tried my best to use my detail products but it lingers, not a big deal just a little irritating.

I've used 303 on my tonneau with great results. Not sure it will "restore" the black color, but it may prevent future discoloring.

Thats caused by the wax/soup etc. Is not recommended to use cleaning products on black tonneau covers at all.

There was never any wax on it. It was ceramic coated in CQuartz Dlux which is specifically designed for plastics. I highly doubt it did that only to one spot, and spot wasnt there after it was coated... I used all kinds of stuff like 303 on tonneau's and never a problem in the past.

Mmm, interesting... That spot looks exactly like the one i had after the dealer took the truck to a car wash. It wasn't all over the top, but where the water sat for a while. Never again after that experience. Now, i have a diamondback cover and even the manufacturer and the manual quotes "do not use any cleaning product to clean the cover" I've always cleaned my truck by hand and use only water to clean the cover.

Hmm, wonder if my wash stuff pooled there but like you I hand wash and use good sh*t when I wash (ph balanced, etc.), did it come out?

Did it get wet within the first 24hrs after it was coated? Try taking it back and ask if the Detailer could add another coat.

Nope, it stayed in their climate controlled garage under lights for over a day, then I picked it up and it baked outside for another 3 days before it rained. I think CQuartz also has a really quick cure time like 1-3 hours, but yep shouldnt get wet or let water stand 24 hours after application.
