I got you. But it still doesn't mean that you're not picky, girl. :D :boink: I'm in nearly the exact same boat as you, loving life, minus blaming the parents and 12 Tacomas, lol.

I seriously doubt it would be a good idea to use wax soup on anything truck related.

No it did not, unfortunately. I bought a product from my local auto part that "brings back the black!" and last for 3 to a week until you have to reapply, a money pit for sure:frusty: .

I had this exact same issue with the Tonneau cover on my 2017 Tacoma. Immediately after buying it, my detailer cleaned the cover with 70% alcohol and applied gTechniq C4 (ceramic coating for plastic) on it. Within days I began having this exact same issue....exactly same! If you wiped the cover with a towel or your hand, it turned whitish; exactly like your photos.

I had the cover stripped using "Panel Wipe." He applied the Panel Wipe using a drill with a brush attachment so the product would really get inside the textured surface of the cover. You can only get Panel Wipe at automotive paint stores as it is a pretty serious stripper. It is designed to remove contaminants from a vehicle's surface prior to painting. It is said to be the only product that will remove ceramic coating. Well, it didn't work. The same issue after spending hours trying to remove it. I ended up purchasing a new cover.

Hmm, its only that one spot, weird because DLUX is designed for plastic. I don't know if its worth throwing money away on a new cover, especially since its coated already and just that one spot. I mean I could always try warranty claim my service advisor is great, he had a new bumper cover on my last truck done cause I jacked up some clips for me under warranty.

Thanks for chiming in, reason I posted here was figured surely someone ran into this issue with the OEM.
