Yup, total price. Keep trying. Tell them to pound sand. Whole industry is about to tank. They need clear off their lots and count their losses. We got lucky; they just received the exact truck we were looking for, they had already marked it down once, and they told me about their sales numbers from last month(March). I played it cool, made my offer, and they desperately accepted.

You don't see a fully loaded AC very often. Seems like the people who buy them (at least in my mind) are those who "don't need any of those fancy doodads in their TRUCK"-kind-of-people. So it is pretty unique. Very cool!

The pictures the dealer sent me show the LEDs. The "premium audio..." is one of the packages that the $485 headlight option is rolled into. I was curious about that, too until I saw the pictures. With the price MSRP being $42567 and the quote being $36903, looks like I'm saving just under 14%. Happy with it for sure.

I'm in VA and just got a deal. I had a manual 2018 off-road DC with no options. They met my loan and gave me $28,500 (about $5500k over trade in value). They then offered me a 2020 off-road premium auto for $37,300 (MSRP $44,500). I took it and ran with it. This is by no means to brag because I did little negotiation, just putting this here so you guys have more info on how desperate some dealers are right now and that deals are there to be had. Best of luck to all.

Great time to buy a Tacoma (or any car) if you are financially stable. Almost wish I waited a couple months but I got 15% off of MSRP which was a steal.

Totally agree. Happy with my deal that I got when the rebate popped to 1500 at the beginning of March.

It might depend on what you want, I wanted a SR access cab. I wanted it in black or cement. Found out they don't make SR in cement so black then. Tried working dealers off each other, it got to the point when I was quoting the price I got locally that three other dealers said I should buy it there, so I did especially since I got them down a little further. Anyway since the TRD OR dbl cab is what most people want with various packages, they might be harder to negotiate down, it seems some are doing it though. You may need to travel if the locals are being obstinate.

I only wish I could get a deal like that. That's exactly what I want but in cement. I'm aiming for 35k but they're practically laughing at me wherever I go. Or they say " I'll help you find something similar"

Be patient and keep waiting. April at the end of the month might see the dealers even more desperate the longer the 'rona virus lockdown continues. Some dealers are even offering to deliver vehicles to homes now and do sales there. Bide your time and I bet you'll be able to get that deal or even better

I had a cement one on order before they cancelled my order. White was my other color choice so it worked out. If you have a Costco membership try going through them. I’m up in the Bay Area and there still aren’t a lot of deals, but they’re there if you’re willing to look/drive a little. Also, Toyota’s sales fell 36% year over year, so remind the dealers that there’s no one buying right now. They just might hook you up.

Cement is what I was hoping for as well but I didn't mind the white so I decided to strike while the iron was hot. White was probably my 2nd choice - looks good with the black fender trim, bed, wheels, and factory tint.

First time post. I'd like to share the details of my recent purchase of a 2020 SRD V6 Double Cab in Cement and see how I did.

I read through a number of posts and it looks like best way to share is MSRP, OTD price, and any rebates included right? Happy to share how I ended up on the trade too. Is general consensus to go by the "Total Distributor Suggested Retail Price" as MSRP? (i.e. total including distributor installed options)?

Best way is MSRP and price you paid before tax , title and trade .

    MSRP: $33,290
    OTD: $28,500

Their original final offer, before I left the dealership was $31k OTD + $5,750 on trade (CarMax was at $5,500).

When I came back the next day, was able to settle on $28.5k OTD + $8,200 on my trade ('13 GTI 4Dr White 85k miles)

Am I right to think about this as 14.4% off on the OTD?

Thanks y'all– wish I had come here before buying.
