Let's start with how much money you have and what do you want to do with this truck?

Cheapest and easiest way out...get stock springs to bring the truck down so that the drop bracket setup is working within it's design. Then put some new CV boots on.

Drop bracket systems suck but they do work for street use. If you are just mall crawling it will work fine with the stock control arms.

You can't just remove it and tuning it to work well will require parts and knowledge. No diff drops, those are for people that buy stuff because they don't understand geometry. Kinda like torsion bar lifys that come with new keys.

You could remove the lift that’s on there and replace it with the new kit I’m doing which mounts the diff to the custom subframe :)

So I got bilstien 5100s and toytec coils. I'm wondering if when I put them on if I will have the same issue with the 6in spacer on top. The shocks will be at stock ride height settin .

Do you have photos of the truck from 5-10 feet away? I’d like to see the front/side view of how much lift this is giving.
Also, maybe a photo from the front while squatting down so we can see the drop bracket lift.

That's the best for the parking lot. I'm looking in to getting spc ucas to swap them in for the stocks

Am I missing something here? Your truck already has Bilsteins and Toytec coils. You are going to replace them with the same thing and you expect different results?

They're mismatched coils. Ones a bilstien and thre others a rough country. I'm assuming the previous owner blew a shock and swapped it with something he got for free. And the settings on them are higher than it just being stock.

OK, but you’re still stacking lifts. Lift coils and a drop bracket lift. You’re still going to have shitty CV angles.

The details on mine were 0"-2.5" lift front end with the adjustment rings. I put them at 0" but I havent done anything yet since I'm gonna swap ucas to . I bought them in pieces not fully assembled.

    Toytect/Eibach says it gives 1.6" for a 6 lug 04 to 15 Tacoma

So, you're going to end up with about 3.6" of actual suspension lift. That's more than the CV joints will be happy with.

Measure the height of the spring spacer. It's going to be about 6". Measure the distance from the center of the bolts that hold the drop bracket to the frame and the center of the alignment cam bolts. That's going to be about 4". Whatever the difference is between those dimensions is the amount of suspension lift you would have if you have OEM springs. So, about 2". Then you add the 1.6 to that from the Toytec springs and you get 3.6"

Actually, I made a mistake in my measurement calculations. The amount of suspension lift with a spacer is twice the height of the spacer. So, your spacer is probably about 5". 4" to account for the 4" drop bracket, and 1" extra to make 2" of suspension lift to equal a total of 6" total lift with OEM springs. Still, adding 1.6" of spring lift is still bad.

Either way you go you’re going to be stacking lifts. The 1.6” of lift is still lift. You need take other folks advice. Stop buying stuff until you have a solid plan and have figured out exactly what’s going to work to get those angles down.

I took someones advice multiple times and this is where I'm at (a friend I work with who's done this a lot).... I'm trying to fix this slowly, and cost effectively. I have all the things to swap the mismatched suspension but yes these angles are bad. I dont want a 6in spacer. I'd rather have a 3 ish to make things work. I know itll fit and work with the angles of everything and make it feel better.

So with this as I'm seeing it a smaller spacer would be better since I cant go back to stock with the cross beam frame cut for the front diff? Or am I reading it wrong?

Somehow you have to get the actual suspension lift to be less. Basically 3 ways.

    1. Get a spacer for a 4" drop bracket lift. That's going to be about 4" tall. Then put in whatever lift springs you want.

    2. Keep the spacer you have and put in OEM springs with Bilsteins set at 0"

    3. Buy extended length adjustable coil overs and adjust them for realistic CV angles.

I think the spacers would be the best bet since I already have the shocks and coils and all. I'll do that and see how itll work. Thank you.

OK, but be sure to tell them you want the spacer that goes with a 4" drop bracket lift.

If you just tell someone you want a 4" lift spacer, they're going to think you just want a cheap way to lift your OEM suspension 4" and they're going to sell you a spacer that's 2" tall.
