New flooring in the half bath laundry room. Vinyl tile, with gray grout. Fiancé did 99% of the work I mainly just cut the tile pieces for her as needed.

South Ms, they looked dark and very similar to the standard pressure treated 4x6’s that Lowe’s sells but they were a little bit rougher than what Lowe’s sells. I didn’t poke/prod them but I think Pine is a good guess.

Pine is softer, yellowish obviously a pine smell. Chocolate color walnut, reddish with streaks more dense red oak. Light Tan color and a vanilla smell white oak. Red fir also could be used but dont think it would be down that area

Make sure it's dry before you put a lot of work into it, white oak moves a LOT.

Looks awesome! Yeah the Lawn Care Nut on YouTube is incredible. Ryan Knorr, Connor Ward and Lawncology are all good ones too for anyone looking for knowledge on it.

I've been thinking about getting a trimmer like that, that I could switch out the attachments on. I was worried the quality might not be as good as a stand-alone of each but I'm glad to hear you're liking it so far.

A common building wood, Douglas fir weighs 2.5 lbs per board foot. A board foot is 12" x 12" x 1". (correction provide by @RocTaco)

    floor footage 35' x 16' = 560 sf (square feet)
roof footage 35' x 16' = 560 sf (didn't calculate the extra weight caused by the roof pitch but is taken care of in the fudge factor)
    walls (35' + 35' + 16' + 16') x 8' tall = 816 sf

    Total sf 560 + 560 + 816 = 1936 sf

Assuming on average the walls, floor and roof are 1" thick

1936 x 2.5 lbs X 2 (fudge factor for interior walls, roof and other weight) = 9680 lbs or 5 -ish tons.

You're going to need a bigger truck

    (edited for correctness)

Uhhh not sure where you got 11-15 lbs per board ft. If that were the case a 8' 2x4 (5.3333 bd ft) would weigh almost 60lbs at the light side.

We generally use 2.5lbs per board ft for doug fir, I honestly can't think of any wood that's over 10lbs.

    https://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/wood-density-d_40.html

According to that web site Douglas fir weighs 33 pounds per cubic foot. A cubic foot is 3 board feet or 11 lbs/board foot.

    But, you have a point

Maybe the website is providing the weight of green timber.

    By my numbers an 8' 2x4 would be 1.5" wide x 3.5" high x 96" long = 504 cubic inches / 144 cubic inches/BF foot x 11 lbs/BF = 38.5 lbs And we know that ain't right.

Using your 2.5 lbs, the 2x4 above weighs 8.75 lbs which seems reasonable.

If 2.5 lbs is used in the example above the house weighs 9680 lbs. A quick google shows 35' 5th wheels weighing in the 10K lbs range so it might be closer to correct. The OP is still going to need a bigger truck, but maybe not a small semi.

Wouldn’t a cubic foot of wood be 12 board feet?
